Hey guys...we were there on the 14th. Disappointed and wet but safe and compensated. I figure it could have been much worse.

My question is regarding the compensation. I did get the little post card and I do have my hard tickets...BUT...I don't think we will be making it back to WDW, let alone the state of Florida in the next year. SOOOOO...has anyone actually gotten a refund? If so, give me the low-down...how, when, where etc.

TIA
Michelle

I walked into Guest Relations at the MK on 9/16 with tickets in hand and said that I had heard that they were giving refunds. They asked me if I could do another party, which I couldn't. Then I filled out a little slip of paper and they credited my card. :) It was that easy.

Thanks for the quick response... I should have added that the 14th was our last day in florida and we are now home...looking for some recourse from a non-disney location.

Thanks Michelle

My DD and I also attended the party on the 14th. When we were leaving no one gave us any indication that they were issuing refunds. We left on Sunday and only when I came here did I find out any info. We booked the bounceback but for the end of Sept. I emailed guest services a week ago and still have not heard from them (except the canned email that let's you know that they received it). My question to those that attended but waited until you returned...have you gotten credit or heard from disney?

I would love to know this as well... we were under the impression that no comps were given, so we did not even try... but $200 dollars is a lot of money... and if they are giving a refund that is great! Please let me know.

We attended the party on the 14th and were given the flyer about using our ticket within a year. After we got home I called to see if anything else could be done since our next trip starts 6 days after the voucher/ticket expire. Guest services gave us 3 tickets to use at the party next year while we're there. We don't actually have tickets, but a confirmation number to get them from Guest Relations when we arrive.

I emailed them last week but haven't heard anything yet, however from what I understand, there are still people working out compensation from the 8/24 Pirate & Princess Party, so I'm assuming it might take some time for this one.

I saw people were either getting cards for a day's admission to MK or getting the option to use the MNSSHP for another MNSSHP next year, but we really do prefer the refund. We really don't know if we'll be back by the time the MK admission card expired (we never got it anyway so I guess that wouldn't matter, but since we always get multiple day tickets and to add another day only costs a few dollars it doesn't quite make up for the $80 we spent on the tickets) and when we do go back, we don't know if we'll be there for the party...it could be before the parties or after...who knows. So it's just easier on us if we get the refund.

I didn't compinsated. :( I'm going back this weekend and going to Magic Kingdom on Saturday, I'm going to stop in at Guest Relations and ask about tickets to the Sunday party when I'm there. I can't afford to buy a ticket to another night.

I was at the party 9/14 and had left before they started giving compesation my mom's back just couldn't handle the dampness and I called Guest Relations and Sue was very nice. She created a file for us and we are able to use our tickets from this year at the party for next year.

I got a refund. I emailed them and they called me about a week later. I'm so happy that they did give me my $ back. It was a total bummer:(

Girlsx4 who did you email? I called someone (Obviously not the right someone) because they told me they did not give refunds. If you could let me know who I could email that would be great. Thanks

What email address did you use? We were there too....what a mess! We're going back next year so even tickets to another event would be great. 1 day admission to MK really isn't anything considering the couple of dollars it would cost to add a day to a hopper.
