Another 18 nights RPR, just the two of us & HHN (2015 Trip)

TUESDAY 29TH SEPTEMBER

We slept well, well, I was kinda restless as I had a sinking feeling about today.......my infamous crown had came loose again.

Didn`t want to put a damper on last night so I didn`t mention it, but this morning it was loose. So Tom was still asleep as I looked out the window.....it was chucking it down. Really heavy. Just at that Kyle zapped us with his Skype call.....he wasn't in Uni today just working from home so we chatted for a while then Tom noticed I was talking funny......lol.......told them both it was coming out....Kyle just groaned.....surely not again!!! Told Kyle we would call him later or tomorrow as I wanted to call as early as possible for appointment.

Last year when it came out we had used the number from Concierge to get the first available appointment.....could be anywhere among a list of dentists they use......it was a dentist in Celebration and we had been happy to go there. So instead of using the main number I decided to call the same dentist direct. We first went to the Club Lounge Tom could get breakfast and I had coffee and some fruit......Thomas said if I couldn't get appointment he could recommend someone to call. So I thanked him and we went back to room to call. I called and explained I had been last year and what had happened and thankfully I was still classed as registered........so could I make it there for 10am.....absolutely. It was only 8.30 now. It only takes 25 minutes or so to get there but we left immediately as it was like a monsoon outside.

Drove so slowly along the road as you couldn't see two feet in front of you......eventually we got there.....then got lost!!! Don`t know how we did it as we know Celebration well.....I blame road works and I think we came in the opposite way this time. Of course I`m stressed in case we miss appointment....I know we won`t, but I`m a worrier. We arrive in plenty of time and get in to the practice. This place is so nice, and very friendly. I filled out up to date medical info and waited a few minutes before being called. The took xrays and she said the "doctor" would be in soon.....but she said they could recement it but it may not last any length of time....it does need replacing as my poor dentist at home inherited bad dentistry form a bad dentist. But anyway, eventually he came in, such a nice man and asked if we had used a concierge and I explained I had been last year and was happy with everything. He was pleased and said he didn`t believe in ripping tourists off....I told him someone we knew had been charged over $1000 for a crown recement.....not by him, but it does happen.

So crown recemented in I thanked him and went back through to Tom....we went to pay and it was actually slightly less than last year which was $300 so around $250. More than I pay here, but it the US. It`s not included in travel insurance so we just pay and smile. Told me I could eat after 40 minutes or so......but what to do now....it was still raining heavy, but not monsoon like. So we went inot the Walmart down there and bought some things, including pajamas and some kitchen stuff.....bits and bobs really.......also my Aussie shampoo an conditioners that are better in the States.....and dirt cheap!!!

We head back towards Universal as it`s nearing lunchtime and yep, I`m starving.......couple of pieces of melon will not fill me up at all.......so we head to Dr Phillips to a place called TooJays......it had been recommended to us by several people but hadn't managed to get to it yet......so today we would. By now the rain had stopped and it was actually sunny.......you could feel the heat slowly building after such a downpour which was lovely as it was fairly cool this morning.......

i-3pSjf4Q-X2.jpg

It`s a very local place......I`m sure everyone was local actually......our waiter was nice.....kinda like Joey from friends but not.....we checked over the menu and it is a nice menu.......I ordered a corned beef sandwich no coleslaw, so he said he would put some fries on....I was hungry so I agreed, Tom ordered coffee and and Triple J sandwich........we did wait a while for it and I have to say I was a bit underwhelmed by it. But, I have to say it may have been what I ordered as people`s plates around us looked far nicer than mine.....and we hadn`t wanted a main meal which all looked delicious......so I would go back if even just for the bakery items

i-j6DGzLd-X2.jpg

i-7rhq2HX-X2.jpg

i-4gWSh7B-X2.jpg

i-RFmLH5n-X2.jpg

The bakery items did look so good........but as I said I wasn`t overly impressed with mine.....didn`t taste of much.....Tom enjoyed his but again, it wasn't spectacular.......we did like the place though....liked that it wasn`t a tourist place although the manager said they were getting more and more tourists last year or so. He was a nice man who had a great pride in his restaurant and was just glad to see it busy locals or tourists. I think maybe I had chosen the wrong dish.

So we left and headed back to the car.......

i-Qd7PDPD-X2.jpg

This was where we drove to another part of the area to see what else there is........we headed round and all of a sudden this guy nearly rammed us side on!! He was careering through the car park in an obvious rush to get something quickly......he gestured to us that it was our fault!!! Now we`ve been driving long enough in America that we know the road rules.....and even we know that you don't just appear from spaces and head into another car....we were on the actual road....he wasn't. Tom was mad as hell.....but I reminded him people have guns over here......and he didn't look the most reasonable guy. So we drove off. But wow, he nearly blind sided us.

So now we had been fed we could shop some more......we had decided by now not to go to the parks....so we headed to the Mercedes garage near Mall at Millenia to see if they had any different key rings for our fobs as Kyle had bought one for himself last year and it was quite unique as it wasn`t for sale in the UK. So we wandered in there and went to the bit where they keep products......immediately spotted one which we both liked.......lol....it was nice..so we each got one and wondered if Kyle would like a new one too......anyway we just got the two for us each and also got a couple of Mercedes pens we hadn`t seen for sale in the UK either. The showroom we use for our cars in the UK has a huge selction of merchandise but none like this. So we would be different. We would show Kyle the keyring next time we skyped him and we could go back. Meantime we looked at the cars to see the difference from the ones we have at home to the models here......basically the same but different.......we told one guy what Mercedes cars we had at home and he asked if we wanted a drive in one of theirs......he said insurance would be ok...so off we went in a nicer car than we were driving over here!! We did miss the power of our cars over here that`s for sure, hire car wasn't the best......we enjoyed the drive out and it was kind of him to do that knowing we weren't buying one. Nice customer service though.

We went back into the not so fast and powerful Chrysler and went to Bed, Bath and Beyond and got a lot of stuff from there......headed back to hotel then Tom said he was tired, so he pulled the drapes and I went to sit in Club Lounge for a couple of hours and let him sleep. I knew it would be quiet and it was. I sat with a sprite, Ipad and chatted to Anthony for a while. Then our friend popped in and we chatted to him a bit, love that guy.......then he left and it was time for me to go wake up sleeping beauty to get ready for tonight.

Very dull day in some ways, but I still got some shopping.

Was excited to see a report from you this morning. Of course, I haven't got any work done at all todayas a result :rolleyes1

There is too much for me to comment on but I will jsut say that I, too, could easily spend a fortnight (or more) at Universal. In fact, we actually spent 10 days at WDW in August and didn't do the Disney parks at all (with the exception of a special tour I did with a friend of mine) - and I didn't miss them.

Glad to see some of our favourite restaurants appearing on your trippy - we love Teak and Friendlys. Ocean Prime looks good - we will defintiely have to add that to the list for our next visit. I was excited to read that Sugar Factory will be opening up too (I hadn't heard that before) - we loved the one in Las Vegas which, sadly, is now closed.

I also have a 'dodgy' crown, which I have had refitted half a dozen times now. It just fell out at the weekend and I got it refitted on Monday - but it only cost me £18.80 so I have now made a mental note not to eat anything chewy in Orlando at all :rotfl:

Sorry you are missing Kyle - it does get easier (I always miss our eldest on our trips at some point but not as much as I used to, usually when I see something that I know she would have loved or that we would have laughed over).

Looking forward to reading more.

lol how funny to be recognized from the DIS!

Odd re the lobster tail. Doesn't look over-cooked, but rather mis-shaped as if it separate from shell before they cooked it.

jmho, but 2nd desserts don't count on vacation:drinking:, nor cocktails.

Yay.......nice to see you over here!!

Thank you for the lovely comments.....sorry about holding you up from work......lol.......oh you have to go to Ocean Prime.......one of the nicest places ever, food and service second to none! Love Teak!! We are looking forward to Sugar Factory opening.....and Mangos on IDrive looks a fun place too.......And yes, like you we never tire of Universal.......I get into trouble from some folk when I say 18 nights is not enough......

Oh I hear you on the crown.....yes £18.80 or $250........no difference is there!! I had been eating all on the other side all the time, but we knew it wasn't going to last.......getting a bridge sorted for next month as this is the fifth time it has come out. To avoid niggling it I even ate burgers with a knife and fork......lol.....not the best way, but it worked for a while. Hoping the bridge will end this disaster........if you do ever need a decent dentist though I can recommend one........hopefully not though.........:D

I think you're right about it getting easier leaving them.......once we were there it wasn't as bad as I feared.......we did what you said a lot though......spoke of him when we knew he would love something or yes, laugh at something.......Skype was a lifeline!

Glad to have you reading along......glad you're enjoying it........:wave2:

Lol......it was odd, but least she was nice and someone who maybe didn't like me very much......:scratchin

Yes it did look like that, but looked more like a large shrimp than lobster......so I was glad they replaced it for him.....like your thinking on desserts......and certainly cocktails ::yes::

So I awaken sleeping beauty and we get changed and head up to the Club lounge for our usual couple of hours before deciding where we will eat tonight. We have a couple of glasses of wine as usual, well Tom has coffee as he`s driving tonight. It was so nice as always, not too busy and I resisted temptation on the salad and dressing tonight as it was my favourite.......we stuck to wine, well, I did. We had one family sat close to us a few times, they constantly complained about everything.....I mean constantly.......if it wasn`t free they moaned about it......loudly!! I don`t want to hear folks moans about money, so we moved tables....you ever get the feeling folk are almost asking for donations to their trip sometimes!!! They had 3 kids so "that`s a lot of money" we heard that a lot. They only stayed 2 nights......but it felt longer!! Couple of other people were rolling their eyes whenever they started up........

We had to get something from front desk so made a detour there and got the envelope that had been left for us and wandered around just taking a few pictures.........

i-CgKNsmw-X2.jpg

I think we had the big camera tonight.......

i-Lpbw3Dq-X2.jpg

At this point we still hadn`t decided where we were eating tonight. We did think of Joe`s Crab Shack but decided against it and went for Red Lobster down at the Convention Centre.......we love Red Lobster and get teased about by some American friends and family too.......but always get a good meal there. It`s a lovely night again and hot as we walk to the car.......it`s so lovely as the sun is setting and driving down IDrive which admittedly is not the prettiest street, but even so it`s got it`s good points.......

i-HrWtwRL-X2.jpg

We like this Red Lobster, always busy and service is good. Tonight was no different. We waited only a few minutes for a table and were taken to a nice booth near the back and we could see the kitchen too.......saw the gorgeous cheddar biscuits being made........funny, we don`t call that a biscuit.....we would call it a kind of cheese scone....a biscuit is something we have with a cup of tea......and sweet. But whatever....they`re gorgeous.........

Our waiter tonight was perfectly adequate and pleasant, but didn`t smile a whole lot.......I don`t need you to be grinning like a cheshire cat......but hey, at least smile......anyway we ordered me a strawberry lobsterita.......one of my favourite cocktails in Orlando and a strawberry lemonade each......they are gorgeous too....

i-5XWQXjC-X2.jpg

i-6GHGkDh-X2.jpg

It is a huge cocktail!!! But so fruity.......although you can definitely taste the alcohol in it.......I only ever have one!! But now to decide what to have for dinner.......he had brought us the cheese biscuits and I had asked for some wipes as the salt was trickling down the side of the glass by now........he hadn`t brought them yet.......so when he passed I asked him again as my hands were sticky.....head to ask another twice before eventually he brought one!!! One........he saw my face and actually smiled and said....I`ll get more.....to be fair he was back in seconds........and brought some extra napkins to wrap around the bottom of the glass......nice. So he kinda redeemed himself by now......and he was more pleasant as night went on.

So we ordered a shrimp cocktail to share and our salads had come too.......we really shouldn`t have ordered an appetiser.....but I fancied some plain cold shrimp.......and it wasn't a huge portion although they were fairly big.........

i-HrfzRVB-X2.jpg

i-RfD9DCX-X2.jpg

It was very nice and the salad, well it was a salad. At this point the couple sat beside us started talking to us.......which is fine, we enjoy talking to people....they heard the Scottish accents and asked where we were from, the usual stuff....they were local and ate in there twice a week.....every week!! They asked where we were staying and they said they had never been to Universal......I couldn`t believe it, even though if I lived there I`m sure I wouldn`t go the parks all the time, but to never have been was odd to me......they went to MK once a month and SW couple of times a year....we laughed and said that was 2 places we didn`t go. Disney just because.......and SW we won`t go to at all. But we chatted away about what we liked to do when we were here and they gave us a couple of suggestions for next trip. By this time our mains had arrived and they had finished, so we said our goodbyes and feasted on our food.

So after a long perusal of the menu.....that we knew by heart almost...........Tom chose the Ultimate Feast with broccoli and I ordered 1lb of snow crab, skewer of scallops, and bourbon pecan sweet potatoes......they were the lushest thing ever!!! I immediately regretted getting an appetiser as the portions are huge.......but always so good. The snow crab had meat in them, unlike the ones I got from bubba Gumps.

The Ultimate Feast

i-jgQZTxN-X2.jpg

i-HzGTB8Z-X2.jpg

We had a lot of food!!!! And I have to say I would have forgone something to have more of those sweet potatoes.....they were gorgeous......when I ordered them in place of fries he almost apologetically told me they would add $1.99 for them.......heck I would have paid $20 for them, they were so good!!!

We had the nicest meal in here.......everything was good and tasted delicious......I agree its not a top class restaurant, but we honestly can`t fault it for quality and prices are very economical. But, as I said it`s one place we get teased for going to....lol....I don`t care.....

We were full. This was one meal we truly felt we had eaten far too much food......but it was so good!! He did smile as he asked if we wanted dessert.......couldn`t have eaten another thing if we were forced to. So we got the check and headed back up to the hotel.....I think we just wanted to lay down at this point........

The eye is so lovely all lit up night, I brought out my little camera from my bag as big camera was in trunk so pictures are not the clearest......but I do love it was purple.......

i-Kr6WSn2-X2.jpg

I thought we just went straight upstairs tonight and sprawled on our bed.........but apparently we went to Orchids Lounge and had a beer and a non alcoholic daiquiri.......I had forgotten that bit, but we didn't sit long and went up and laid out and watched tv for a while.....we planned a park day tomorrow......my feet were now permanently aching....or so it seemed......but once I started walking on them it was fine.....standing still was when they ached......wouldn`t let that stop us though.....

WEDNESDAY 30TH SEPTMBER......

It was a :bday: to my mate Sue today........special birthday for her.......so I awoke thinking about her this morning. We had got her a Tiffany Charm, had actually bought it last year, I was well organised....but thought in June, I should open the box and clean it as silver does need cleaning. So I did explain to her cryptically.....why, when she opened her present she will notice it had been opened before as she would see the bow around the box wasn`t quite as neat as Tiffany staff do it. She wouldn`t mind I knew that, we just hoped she liked it. She is honestly the nicest person on the planet.......

But, we were awake early today......parks were beckoning again.......we skyped Kyle and had another good chat, saw he was doing just fine, then went for breakfast and ate quickly today, moaning family were moaning again so we ate and left. Back to room for suncream and walked to the park, we were doing IOA today, so a nice walk was a good start to the day. It really is a beautifully hot day........we always cut through the pool when we walk and it is so peaceful this morning as usual.......we are almost tempted to have a pool morning, but parks win. The humidity is making the camera fog up this morning.......and it was Tom`s we were using.....I did wonder if some liquid had got in it was that bad. But we did get a few.........

i-fKNxrNd-X2.jpg

i-KCsqr5f-X2.jpg

We take our time as always but a few minutes later we are at the gates, looks fairly quiet again......not bad!!! Perfect day.....hot and not too busy........we get to the gates and we go to a member of staff who has nobody in his queue....people beside us are faffing with their full page tickets again.......but doesn't affect us today......we are through.......We love this park, and Port of Entry is just beautiful....but we always go through the shop to cool down a bit........it`s tradition......so we buy a few things and get them sent back to the room again......love this perk!! Then back into the sunshine.........

i-9rRdSkL-X2.jpg

i-dnDBnKN-X2.jpg

There`s just no-one here at this point.........it`s lovely like this and we always mention the one year we came in July......never again!!! Hordes of people just milling around and it wasn`t as much fun as this.......still odd without the Hulk....it`s more noticeable as it`s quiet I think......but you do miss it......we head straight for Doom again.....

i-sFsKr6K-X2.jpg

i-pQQfDmZ-X2.jpg

i-fFTDts2-X2.jpg

I love when Tom has his camera with us.....he is very focussed when he does.....lol......he snaps almost everything and actually gets some really good ones. Means I can just wander around too without snapping my camera.......I do like that and made sure this year not to snap everything in site some days........just enjoy it without thinking I must get that picture.....but Tom was the opposite today......everything got snapped.......

i-6jJjPK9-X2.jpg

i-cppKZst-X2.jpg

i-2J3RPCQ-X2.jpg

It is so hot in this area.......why no air conditioning........we hadn`t taken a picture in here before so today we did.......we had a little lad of about 10 on with us first ride this morning........his mother wouldn`t ride with him so he was on his own....not sure I would have been as brave at 10. But we have seen that a lot over the years, kids on their own riding something like that........he loved it anyway.....so did we......yes, short ride, but fun!!! Lost count of how many times we rode it this morning.....it was so quiet in the EP queue......we got straight back on with no wait at all....and a few times we didn't have to go back round to the beginning......it`s funny when TM`s start to get to know you well on a ride.......lol........

After that we did our usual Spiderman......strangely the queue was quite long right now for that......was showing 30 minutes......we got straight on as usual.......this ride doesn't make me feel nauseous the way TF did the other day......this is a better ride and better story for me too. There did seem to be a little bit of a queue on the regular line, but when we came back out it was only showing 10 minutes. Not sure if it was an error or they got a massive rush!!!

i-qkVgvKw-X2.jpg

This was where I really missed my partner in crime.......Kyle and I loved soaking unsuspecting people on the barges......most didn't know the shower heads were there and thought once they were past the jets they were safe........we howled like hyenas most times as folks were mostly surprised and it was hilarious some of the reactions........but this time it was just me.......I did still have fun, but it wasn`t the same......Tom wasn`t really interested in doing it.....so he took pictures.....about 1000 of them this morning.

i-vmR4Fk5-X2.jpg

i-7TzPgD7-X2.jpg

Then the shower machines stopped working!! I had to move to the jets.......it was so funny this one woman asked me not to soak her family.......I howled with laughter till I realised she was serious......I told her the jets were nothing to what they would get.....she wasn't happy at all!!! Oh dear......not sure I got her family or not as she wandered off looking rather glum.....was she serious???

Only spent around $10 which was a lot less than Kyle and I usually spent!! But after a while we wandered around and passed by Ripsaw today....didn't want to get that wet again.......it was incredibly hot now....so we bought some more water and headed further round the park.........

i-Cb2PDp3-X2.jpg

Think we have hundreds of these....but I do like to have them to compare when a new thing opens up, and see what it was like before. So we snapped a lot of these again......they do move quickly as there was some distinct changes since the first day we saw it. So impressive.......we wandered round to JP......I still get impressed with this ride and wonder what improvements this ride will see over next few years.

This is another ride we can do over so many times.....and as usual.....some times we come off bone dry......others we have a sprinkling of water, and then there are the times we come off drenched.....no definitive description of how wet you get on this ride.....varies every time. But we very rarely miss it, unless it`s a bit cooler. Today there was no real queue, so we got on a few times then decided we would head further round.

Haha, I have also had this thought about the Aussie shampoo!! Why is it such a premium in the UK? it smells sooooo good.

.saw the gorgeous cheddar biscuits being made........funny, we don`t call that a biscuit.....we would call it a kind of cheese scone....a biscuit is something we have with a cup of tea......and sweet. But whatever....they`re gorgeous.........

I love American "biscuits". However don't watch them being made. Its like 50% butter, but so tasty! ::yes::

It is a huge cocktail!!!

 That's a massive cocktail! It looks amazing

My camera sometimes fogs up as yours did that morning. It always makes me supremely nervous... but (crossing my fingers!) it has always gone away shortly. It's still weird, though!!

Great updates. I never, ever tire of Universal. Reading about you riding Dr Doom multiple times made me alugh - I lvoe that ride so much and yet it was one which, on our first visit to IOA back in 2004, I had real reservations about. Now it is one of my favourites.

I honestly don't think there`s an area of these parks we don't love.......so pretty and well themed for the area they represent.......it`s a pleasure to just walk around them sometimes and soak up the atmosphere. Having the extra time I appreciate is a luxury some folks don`t have and it`s easy for me to say take your time. But if you can you absolutely should...they are gorgeous.

We bought some lemonade from the watering hole and then it was back to Potter. I have said many times, we`re not huge Potter fans but love this area. We have seen all the movies numerous times and read all the books so we do enjoy it, just not fanatical about it. But no one can fail to be impressed with what Universal have done with this theme. Highly impressive and it`s a joy when you see someone see it for the first time which we did today again.......I saw one girl almost burst with excitement as she approached in front of us coming from JP......I won`t post her picture but she was almost numb with disbelief when she saw the castle. Her parents were almost in tears at her reaction......yes I admit it, I filled up a bit too......

We went on FJ single rider. Didn`t get to sit together today which was fine....we just got lucky last couple of times.....I was only doing this ride once today.......Tom did it twice, I didn`t want to get woozy.....so I went and sat in the shade outside FJ waiting for him. Did nip into the bathroom to listen to Moaning Myrtle......she`s fun, and some people don't know they`ll be able to hear her in there.....I don`t hang around though....think a little kiddie wasn't very well today in there!!!!

So I sit and chat to a local today......I comment it`s usually someone from another country or at least State I end up talking too, but again, nice man who was waiting for his family coming off DD. Soon enough Tom was back and we went on DD a couple of times and then walked through the shop and out of Hogsmeade.

i-7RBZNHs-X2.jpg

i-LgNJBLx-X2.jpg

Such a pretty area and of course the fountain is always fun to see and listen to....we like to sit behind it and watch it`s interactions with people......so funny, and very much of course themed to the guest it`s talking to......

We could sit here all day and listen to him tease and have fun with guests.......but we head further round the park, and of course as Tom has the camera....more pictures than ever today........

Wow, you are really cranking out the updates today.

Are there areas of the park/rides/shows you no longer bother with, having been so often or do you do pretty much everything during your trips still?

My camera sometimes fogs up as yours did that morning. It always makes me supremely nervous... but (crossing my fingers!) it has always gone away shortly. It's still weird, though!!

LOL.......he was getting annoyed as it was taking ages to clear......humidity was high though.....so I was happy as I thought maybe I had spilled some water near it or something like that......yes I have done that before, so I`m sure it crossed his mind, never mentioned it though....lol......I think it makes some pics more atmospheric.......::yes::

Great updates. I never, ever tire of Universal. Reading about you riding Dr Doom multiple times made me alugh - I lvoe that ride so much and yet it was one which, on our first visit to IOA back in 2004, I had real reservations about. Now it is one of my favourites.

Tom is still nervous on Doom.....only ride that he`s like that with......lol....I must admit first time I rode it, I almost passed out when I came right out my seat at the top....thought that was my time......now I try and leave the harness a bit looser so I get more air time.....lol, but I know what you mean about having reservations....it`s quite a ride, definitely one of our favourites too :thumbsup2

Only being able to post 10 pictures a post is time consuming but so much easier than faffing with PB, so I`ll keep doing it......may take all day to get to lunch though.....lol

So again we take a few pictures......sky is so beautiful today, and the heat is building at such a rate today.....we already feel as if we are melting......but again, not a complaint......we are loving every second of this sunshine and heat.

Not many people seem to go around the back of Mythos.....you have a beautiful view and it`s so peaceful........

Now we were ready to head out of the park, but not before going through Dr Seuss area......how colourful is this area??? I grew up knowing nothing of him, I only heard of him through my American cousins when they came over for a visit......no idea who cat in the hat was........but with the Advent of The Grinch and Jim Carrey we certainly know who he is now......some imagination!!!

We do eventually make it out the park for lunch, but again......when someone is on a mission to take plenty of pictures.....he sure does........

I don`t think we ever tire of taking pictures......although I`m sure we did take less this year than we ever have.....although I`m not so sure now looking through them all...........

We very rarely go into Croissant Moon any more......it used to be so much better than it is now, not quite sure why but we didn't enjoy it the same last time. In fact we never even went into Confisco Grill this trip........we enjoyed leaving the park and going to different off site place. We felt last year going to Mythos 4 times and CG twice was maybe a bit of overkill and so we decided we wouldn`t do it this time......yes, it`s convenient but we thought we would make the effort and were glad we did.

If you can, try and listen to the upstairs windows on this and another building in PoE.........

Love this Christmas store......never too early when you`re in there......we buy a few things in there every year and have lots of Universal memorabilia on our trees at home........something new to buy every year......

We walked quicker than we should have really in this heat, but we were two hungry people right now. Got back to room and freshened up before heading out to car......it was only a few minutes to where we were going today......Hooters. We really enjoy the bar style atmosphere in here and food is good!!!

It was fairly busy for a Wed afternoon.....so we didn't get a booth, just a table but we were so hot we didn't care......the girls are all lovely in here and lots of families too any time we visited. Not quite sure why it gets frowned upon by some.....but again, different strokes......so we order a blackberry lemonade for me and mango for Tom........we have a quick look at the menu and Tom decides quickly on bacon wrapped wings, and I ordered boneless wings with inferno sauce on them......and a side salad instead of fries, not being healthy I just felt I wanted some cool to the wings.......

Food was really tasty and finally I had a hot wing......really hot!!! It was lush!! Everything was so nice and cheap as chips too......we didn't spend a lot of time after we finished eating.....we had decided to go back in the parks again....we thought we might go to a mall....but it was so nice we just thought we may as well have some park time........so back in the car and back to hotel.

It`s so very quiet this time of day so we get some pictures before heading up to the room before heading out to parks........

I have only been to Hooters once, and that was down in Hollywood, FL on the way to MIA one year. We have heard great things about their wings but we were unimpressed. Yours looked great though so might be tempted to give it a go again. Trouble is there are so many great offiste places to eat, we tend to not bother again if we have had a mediocre experience.

Which actually reminds me, I meant to say that we had a great meal at bubba Gumps when we went last October and yet yours was terrible. I wonder if it was an off day for them, or if we got lucky?

We have friends who had horrible food at Hooters in LBV....they won`t go to any of them now so I know what you mean.....food has always been good for us there, but we tend to use that particular one near Universal, never got too rowdy even when we went at night....

I know, the choice is baffling at times!!! That`s good though....lol......like you if we have a bad experience we just don`t go back.

That`s twice now we`ve been to BG and definitely the last time.......again, folks do seem to have good meals so maybe we`ve been unlucky.... not sure. Last time I asked for fish to be steamed.....came out deep fried and swimming in grease, this time it was just inedible.......so no third time lucky for us. I have sent an email to corporate, but not heard back yet. I`m not looking for anything for free, just letting them know about our experience......never ever had crab legs with no crab inside......lol.....

BG seems to be a place people have a very good experience or very bad going from what I read and talk to people about......glad you enjoyed it though.....it does have potential to be a fun night......
