We have a FEA FP for 11:55-12:55 and a Teppan Edo reservation for 12:20.

If we check in for our FP at 11:50, will this allow us to get to the ADR on time? Does anyone know how long the walk is from FEA to Teppan Edo?

Thanks!

(There is a 12:30 ADR available, but we are planning on watching the Voices of Liberty at 1:50 and I am afraid we won’t make it to that on time if lunch runs long!)

OP has since changed the Teppan Edo ADR to another date.
Situation solved.

As a counter-point, the last time we had a FEA FastPass, it still took us at least 20-30 minutes to actually get on the ride. Now, this was (I think) the first year it was open, and we haven't ridden it since, so I imagine it's much better by now and you'll have no problem, especially at Teppan Edo which is generally a restaurant with more flexibility for lunch. Just wanted to put that out there.

On our last trip, the fastpass line was stretched all the way out to Akershus because the ride had been down earlier :crazy2:. We ended up having to skip it to make it to our Coral Reef ADR. So I know there are always extenuating circumstances.

I was thinking something similar to PP. FEA with a FP could be a 10-20 min experience all-in (could be less if lucky, could be more if unlucky).

Your timing doesn’t bother me personally and is something I’d probably do, but it’s likely you won’t have gobs of extra time so you may need to get a move-on after the ride.

Change to 12.30

Does anyone know how long lunch takes at Teppan Edo? We are on the dining plan so it would include dessert.

This will be our only chance to catch the Voices of Liberty and I don’t want to miss it!

Have eaten there a few times recently - and while I didn’t time it exactly - I want to say around an hour or so. I tend to find we don’t get seated right away as they’re lining up party sizes / tables. Never a really long wait, but not seated right away either.

I may try Touring Plans to see if I can get a 2:15 ADR after the earlier Voices of Liberty/ American Adventure show.

Honestly, the dessert at Teppan Edo isn't that great, IMHO, so if you had to choose between dessert and Voices of Liberty, I would choose Voices of Liberty! If you have to make that choice, maybe splurge and use a snack credit on a better dessert later in the day!

Don't forget you can use your FEA fastpass 5 minutes early. But I agree with the others. Go with the 12:30 rez. It's usually about a 10-15 minute wait for us in the FP line at FEA.

We arrived for our FEA FP right on time, but we had to wait in a long FP line inside the building before actually getting on a boat, which took a good 15 minutes at least. This was in May, so unless things have changed a lot since then, I'd change my ADR if I were you.

Thanks for all of the advice. I appreciate it!

I’m thinking now our best bet is probably to get an ADR for after Voices of Liberty/ American Adventure. That way I won’t have to sweat it either way.

So glad to have people on these boards to bounce ideas around with!!

You should be ok. everytime we have done FEA with a FP, it is a 5-10 minute wait. Get in line 5 minutes early.
You should be off the ride by 12:10. Unless you have huge crowds, it is about a 10 minute walk. Close, but doable.
If you can change to 12:30 for the ADR, i would do it.

Not a good idea. You are timing it too close. You'll be worried sick the whole time, hoping that you are not late for FEA, not late for ADR, not late for the Liberty thing -- you will be stressing yourself out! You might not be able to enjoy FEA, you will be looking at your watch so much! It's better to skip the ADR and just grab a bite after FEA somewhere and give yourself plenty of time to get to wherever. You are in Disney World! Relax and enjoy it!

Remember: sometimes rides get held up, and you sit there and be stuck. Sometimes ADRs will still make you wait 20 minutes even when you get there on time, and then the eating takes even longer. If you cut too close, you are inviting problems. Why stress it? Can always eat at Teppan Edo some other time.

Strongly agree. While it is likely that your timing *could* work, it could also not work. Sometimes rides have long lines, even for FP. Sometimes restaurants are running behind because previous guests lingered over their meal. It would be close timing wise, and as a PP pointed out, you would be stressing over whether you were going to make it or not. Move that ADR, and that way you have time, and if you want to linger over your meal (we pretty much always allow an hour and a half for Table Service) you can. Slowing down often affords you the opportunity to actually enjoy your vacation :)

Us too. The fp took at least 30 minutes

Well I was able get a Teppan Edo dinner reservation on another night, so we plan on just doing quick service for lunch on this day so the schedule won’t be so tight. I’m happy with it.

Thanks for all of the input and advice! It really helped me with my planning!
