Hi everyone!! i Just found this site today. Looks like alot of good info but I don't even know where to start. I will give everyone a basic background and if someone can strat me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

My wife and I are mid 20's with 1 child(age 2) I have been to dis 1 time as a child and she has never been. We are planning a trip for next year.

We will be driving down to Dis. And hopefully staying aprox 5 nights.
We are interested the the 4 major parks and not the water parks(not big water park fans).
Also, we LOVE eating (no were not 400lbs. Lol) just what we do for enjoyment.

Question that I have
1: aprox cost for 2 people for 4 Disney days? (Don't have to stay on site and actually may have a condo I can get CHEAP!!)
2: best time of year for cooler weather and shorter lines? We are thinking early spring(early april??) and coming Monday through Friday.
3: I know nothing about dinner planning in Disney, can someone stear me in the right direction?

Hi and welcome!!! I'm also in the midst of planning a trip for next year: early August. We're both teachers, so that's when we go.

Honestly, I cannot begin to calculate #1 for you; we have 3 kids But here's what you can do: google "disney world reservation landing" and put together the trip you're talking about: resort, park tickets, and (for the sake of argument) meal plan. (Whether or not you get the meal plan is up to you. We love it, but lots of other people don't But it will give you a ballpark amount for food.) Then play with the resorts: try (and "save") a Value, a Moderate, and a Deluxe resort. Not only will that give you a good idea of the pricing, but it may put you onto Disney's radar for possible discounts. You may have to play with this year's dates, since next year's rates aren't out yet. (We're planning to book when they come out this summer.) Consider staying on site; there are lots of advantages, particularly with a young child.

Oh, and if you can time it so you go before your child's 3rd birthday, he or she won't need park tickets; you can save a decent bit of money right there. Do try to avoid the big weeks: Easter, Christmas, spring break. They're crazy-busy.

As far as food, there's so much there!! Take a look at www.allears.net and look under "dining." It's also a great place to look at the different resorts, since it has both fact sheets and photo slide shows for each of the resorts.
