anothe FP question regarding tiers

scenario:

if i have a tier A (not sure what they are calling it) FP and ive used it and still have another fp that i can change, can i change it for a tier A ride?
in other words rockin roller coaster is in the same tier as toy story mid mania, I have a fp for rockin roller coaster, i use it. i also have a fp for the great movie ride which is tier b that i have not used. after i ride rockin roller coaster can i change my great movie ride for toy story midway mania if available?

one more thing: when i look on my app 2 of my fp say they overlap but they dont. 2 are for my husband and son and 2 are for my daughter and i. diff rides but same time on all 4 passes. is this going to be a problem?
