Annual Power pass with lottery tix

I need a little help. My DW and I are staying at RPH over Labor Day weekend and have yet to purchase our park tix. We are planning on buying the 2 Park Power Annual Pass. The blackout dates do not concern us, so this is a better annual pass the the unlimited one. Can I use the non winning Universal lottery tix to get an extra year on this pass as well. I have gotten some conflicting info and your help would be greatly appreciated.

The lottery ticket deal is good only on the preferred annual pass.
