hey all,

i have a 14 day pass for my trip in a few weeks, but i want to know how much it would cost to upgrade it to a annual passport not sure on the actual versions.

with airfares to the usa from australia costing about 1000 buck aus i figure i will more than likely end up going back by the end of the year or early next year.

any help would be great

A Premium Annual Pass (no blockout days) is $389--not sure how much your 14-day pass is worth--but I'm sure it's a lot of $$$.

^^And they don't allow people to downgrade. You have to upgrade. So theoretically, if you spent more then the cost of the PAP, I don't think they will allow you to upgrade to the AP. It's a technicality, and in your case it would suck. You may want to inquire at City Hall or Guest Services and see what they say. In the US they don't sell anything longer than a 6 day pass, probably for that very reason. Good Luck OP!

I was thinking the same thing but wasn't sure. Is there any chance OP that you can delete or return the ticket you bought from your package and just buy the AP when you get here?

How much did you spend on your 14 day pass? In US dollars please. :) That will help us determine your best course of action. :)

From what I've read the last couple years, the 14 day passes that Australians get are LESS than the APs. It's an incredible deal.

I found an AUS offer for a 14day PH. For an adult, it's $293.60 AUS. According to MSN, that is $209 US. The same site offers the 5 day PH for $286.57. It's just a very minor increase for the 14-day'er. Nice!

So, to answer the OP's question....

There are several APs available. The Premium Pass which can be used every single day of the year and includes the cost of parking (should you have a car with you while here) is $389 US.

You would have to pay the difference between what you paid and the AP price. So... $180 US.

The Deluxe, which has some days when it cannot be used is $269 US, so it would cost you $120 US.

IMHO, if would probably make sense to get the Premium so your travel plans can be more flexible, but that's just my way of thinking.

P.S. I have no idea if the 14 day pass you have has any sort of upgrade restrictions. I didn't see any on the site where I found it, but it would be something to ask about. Also, clearly you would want to double check my numbers on conversion from AUS > US dollars.

yeah my conversion said its about 247 bucks. us. the ticket is now 348.

but was just thinking how it might make more sense. i will just have to speak with the people at the park i think
