Im curious if i had a 10 park hopper in my package and we get down there and decide to do a annual pass will they add the amount i just paid for those 10 days to the price of the AP?

Cause i want to take advantage of free dining and may go for like 2 weeks.. but havent made up mind for the following year if we want to go.. Plus the tickets go to 10 days only and the AP would add to it and allow us to do free dining.. Any help would be great thank you!!

Don't quote me, but I think you can upgrade any time before your pass is used up, and they will subtract your ticket price from the pass price.

Go to a park ticket booth or Guest Relations (but not at a resort) after starting to use the ticket and before a 14 calendar day span from that first usage has gone by. (After that time no further upgrades are allowed.)

Then the posted (gate) price for that ticket will be applied to your annual pass purchase. Before usage, only about what you paid for the ticket is applied.

I'm jumping onto this thread. We are also going with a 5 day base ticket package that includes room, tickets, and free dining. We would like to upgrade to an AP. Is there any penalty to the pass value since we have free dining? We purchased our package before the latest ticket price increase, so should we use the tickets first and then upgrade them to get the current value? Any idea what the cost would be?

Thanks for any help. This board is the best.

If you get there and upgrade the tickets the way I understand it is they would use the current ticket prices to determine what the cost of an annual pass would be for you. So they would take the cost of a 5 day ticket out of the cost of an annual pass and leave you responsible for the rest...so that would mean you would have to pay ~$150 more for each ticket to upgrade! I actually planning on doing the same thing myself for our trip planned for december....if not an annual pass at least a non expiring option! Hope this helps and hope your trip goes well!!

My sister and I are going on a hotel/ticket/dining package for 9 days in December and just found out we will be going again next March. We want to upgrade.

We will be staying off property so just need tickets and parking (and the dining discounts will help too).

So I tried to do this back in 06 when we were there last and messed up my dining credits....

1) Reading here - you go to ticket booth or guest services to upgrade.

2) cost for us is about, what ~ $278? which would be the cost for a 3 day ticket park hopper...

3) will this mess with our dining credits?

thx

I think there is a ticket sticky or something like that that answers this. We are going this december for 6 days and DH just 'mentioned' that maybe we will try & go back next year for the halloween events/decorations. So we are thinking of either upgrading to a 10 day no x or an annual pass. might go with the annual pass if it looks like we will take another family trip there in Oct, as I will "have" to be there again in Sept for a business trip

on a side note.. I think it's funny most of the time my DH acts like.. oh great.. she's dragging me to WDW again, and now he's planning our next trip before we even go on the current one planned... go figure! :confused3
But either way I'm not complaining! :lmao:

:yay:, now that's funny!! Do you know if that applies to Military rates too? or will the AP be based on gate rates? Thanks!
