Annual Passholder Questions

One other thing to mention, the day you buy your AP is never a blackout date. So if you buy your deluxe AP on a Saturday in July (a blackout date), you'll get to enter the park to pick up your pass and have the full day to play even though existing deluxe AP holders won't be at the park that day.

Ok, so where is the best place to buy them via the net? And do you always get a discount for the disney properties? If so, how does that work? Do you contact disney web site and get a special price or are rooms only allocated at a certain time? Thanks again, sorry if this has been asked before.

You can order AP vouchers from disneyland.com. I think AP holders always get at least a 10% discount on DL hotels, and sometimes it's an even better discount--such as mid-week (sunday-Thursday) during slower seasons.

Where exactly is the "bank building" on Main Street where I would upgrade my hoppers to AP?

NOt sure if it still works but it used to be that you could enter any 16 digit number to gain access to the AP holder portion of Disneyland.com .

We have had APs since the Year INDY opened(cept maybe 2 years). Back then Premiums(if called that) were not that much more than the deluxe(price wise) but had similar no black outs vs Some black outs. We Got the premiums(only two tiers back then) but soon we found out that we did not like going on black out dates cuz they were just TOO CROWDED.

On black out dates that we did go, the kids would say "nope line is too long, we will ride it next time".

Just saying that some may not want to pay extra so you can go on the MOST CROWDED days of the year.

Also, we put the Parking(now that it is an add on) on one of the kids passes, that way when she goes with my parents/friends/etc... And we have tried putting the Parking on my pass, but sure enough my wife takes kids to DL and has to pay a few times a year, we have tried putting it on the wifes pass... same thing. Now we have not paid for parking in two years. We cant imagine going to DL without them.

The Bank is where you process your APs -- where you take your receipt and have your picture taken, then given your AP card.

You might try going to Guest Services, to the left of the Disneyland entrance, and upgrading your hoppers there. Then when you enter Disneyland, go through the right tunnel, and the bank will be right there on your right side.

My worst part is that I renew for my big vacation so its automatically 330 bucks outta the budget :)

Wow em! You must have bought your pass recently. For DH and I to renew our passes (PAPs), they ran $618.00 for both of us (309/person).

The earlier you become a pass holder and the longer you keep it, the cheaper it is (since the price goes up every year).

Did they change it back to the Bank? I know they moved it to the Plaza Pavillion for a while.

I believe it's at the bank. When the Plaza pavilion was under rehab it was moved back to Space Mountain.

As for cost, you get a $20 discount on renewals every year and I believe that AP prices Dropped the year after DCA opened (because nobody would pay full price for the park)and that's why premiums were only $229 last year. the $100 increase this year was a normalization. That's what the prices would have been had they never dropped them a couple years ago.

I was at Disneyland yesterday and I used the ATM. Yes, the Annual Pass line is now back at the Bank. It has been so hard to track down recently. Unfortunately, everyone in our family has a different renewal date -- yuck, so we've been chasing the line around a lot lately.
