We have already booked our rooms with AP rates, but we don't have our passes yet? Would it better to try to buy them at a Disney Store or wait until we get there at WDW? Is there any discounts if we would buy them at a certain place? OH YEAH!!! Our trip is May the 30th. We lack getting our passes in order. Does anyone know how long it would take for them to arrive??? That might would answer my question right off the bat. Help me PLEASE?>????:smooth:

Don't know how long it would take to get your voucher for them but I would think if you ordered now you would have it in time.
There are no discounts on APs anywhere, and you much have the voucher at least to check in, then you would bring the pass back once you get it activated and show it to the desk.

If you just buy your vouchers at the Disney Store you get them right away. You can also purchase AP's at the Orlando Airport just make sure you activate them and have it to show for when you check in.

Thank you for the replys. So you do get the voucher right when you purchase them from the disney store. Does that mean they are activated then or when you actually check in at the hotel?????

Team Mickey 5;

The voucher can only be activated at guest relations at the entrance to one of the parks, not at a hotel. If you purchase your AP at the disney store in the Orlando Airport, they will give you an activated AP, not a voucher. However, previous postings on this site have indicated problems with purchasing an AP in the Orlando Airport.

I am going to purchase mine at guest relations and then return to the hotel and show them. Good luck!

When I made reservations this morning the CM told me I could purchase the vouchers and they would be delivered to the hotel. And that I could pick them up when I check in. Is this true or is it better to get them ahead of time?

It's true that you can purchase an AP by phone and have it put up for pick up at WDW (called "will call") but it cannot be picked up at the resorts and it is not delivered to you. You must go to a Guest Relations location to pick up the AP. Bring your confirmation number and a photo ID.

If you have to go to guest relations anyway, is there any point to buy them ahead of time?????

Some people buy their AP ahead of time to lock in the price. Since Disney just raised their ticket prices you are correct, just buy your AP at guest relations. Keep in mind that some people have been able to check in and only show their voucher but you are taking a chance that they will make you come back with the AP anyway. I really don't see the advantage of buying an AP ahead of time.

They didn't even ask to see my AP at checkin last week. I even checked in around midnight, and noone was around, so it wasn't like they were too busy.

I love having my AP and I'm already planning my next trip!

I bought our AP vouchers at the Disney Store so I would have them in hand at check-in, I've been asked both times for proof. I used the voucher the first time, the second time I had activated AP. We activated our AP's at MK guest relations, took about 10 mins first thing in the a.m.

What problems have people had? :confused:

If your are driving down I-75 on your way to WDW, the Disney Ocala Welcome Center can activate APs... I just talked with someone there today. They can also credit unused Park Hopper days toward APs there, which is what we are going to do.
