does everyone get to the registration page thru that facebook link, or do some get event full from that link as well?
Just wondering if all the refreshing was for not had I just used the facebook link first-? And then I wonder if we are just at a generic event page that always looks like this, or if it indeed is leading somewhere.
Hoping it's IT preparing, but worried it was forced by refreshes.
Guess we will all know tomorrow!

Ugh. I still can't get names.
Should I keep refreshing the first page I get to or start over from the event full screen??

I get event full with either link.

As someone who helps manage a website for a living, I don't know why I didn't think of this. I guess I'm being blinded by excitement.
MDE is notorious for having cache issues, as in it doesn't properly clear, leaves cookies when it shouldn't, etc. I'm sure this is related somehow

So pissed if it goes live today or tomorrow morning. I have been trying all day to get Platinum Passes for my family. First I get told I can't just cancel my old passes and buy all new Platinum Passes, instead I get told I would have to pay $1200 to purchase upgrades for my entire family that will expire in a bit over 2 months. When I finally break down and decide to buy the upgrades despite the ripoff, I get told that I can't make the upgrade online anyway and that I need to drive to Orlando and buy it in person at WDW.

Based on my experience, I don't know how any of the existing Silver or Gold passholders who purchased vouchers for Platinum Passes from Sams etc, when this was announced are expecting to get invited to this event. If the signup goes live tonight, it seems to me that basically they dropped this Platinum requirement on everyone with 2-3 days warning, and have intentionally made it impossible for existing lower level passholders to get activated Platinum Passes in that timeframe unless you happen to live close enough to WDW to do it in-person.

Using the disney.com link I get the special events registration page, and I get it now without refreshing. If I use that long link from the TSL event page, I get the page with names populated. I'm really leaning towards the populated page being cached. But you can take what I know about this stuff and fit it in a thimble so there's that.

I doubt it's anything cached on my computer since I've never seen this page before. Maybe it's a similar error to when people could sometimes sign up for fast passes outside their window?

I would never spend a dime based on getting in on this event. The chances of actually being there the minute it opens are slim to none. To spend nearly 1k on a ticket for a slim chance at a preview of a couple of hours at best is foolish, to me at least.

You are probably 100% correct in this but my desire for this preview outweighs sanity. Also I f12'd the page and switched to network. Everything is new but the pick date tool. That is from 3/28/19 which I'm guessing is when the last AP event went live to get tickets.

I keep refreshing on Safari, Chrome and Firefox.

Still getting the "Event Full" screen.

I must say I do wonder how much it really could be a caching thing, as I too have never visited this page.

You only live 3 hours away? I also have to say spending $1200 just for the chance to get into an extremely limited preview seems kind of crazy. I would jut plan to go when it opened. Spend a few hundred on a room at one of the Epcot resorts, get up really early and walk over.

Not on your computer but the way that page works is different the first time you go there vs the 2nd, and subsequent times. So that does make a difference
