Annual Passholder Magic Bands (For Canadians)

We're planning our first trip down in January as Annual Passholders. I'm just wondering how Canadians get the pass holder magic bands. Do we just get them when we activate our AP's the first time at the park? Is there any way to customize the bands before we get there, or do we even get one?

Reading the Disney support pages says to go to the ticket agents at the park 11 days before we arrive, so we can customize our bands. I'm not sure that is much help.

If you have already purchased the Annual Pass it will be there as a customizable order with an AP affiliation. Once you customize your order, you have to put in a local shipping address for them to mail your bands to. If you are staying on property, put in the mailing address for your resort.

We customized ours on the MDE app & picked them up at the resort.

Strange. My resort bands are showing in MDE, but the Annual Pass one isn't.

I just got off the phone with a CM, and they told me I won't be able to customize the band until I activate it, at the park.

I'm confused How did you get it to work?

Have you used your AP yet? Or just bought it and are waiting to use it for the first time on your next trip?

If you have only just purchased it, then it isn't activated yet. When you go to WDW for the first time to use it, you will visit Guest Relations at any park or DS and get it activated. That starts the clock ticking on your year. At that time, the AP Magic Band customization option will appear in your MDE. So, you can have it sent to the resort for your second trip, but you won't have it for your first trip under the AP.

EDIT: If your trip is longer than 10 days, you could customize immediately and have it sent right away, but the website indicates the need to give a minimum of 10 days before pickup.
