When you register is the admission privilege loaded onto your AP or do you need to print a special ticket?

I bought APs for my trip in early September, but since I won't be activating them until my visit, obviously I can't register for Early Entry yet. Once I activate I figured I could just use my iPad at the hotel to register for the next few days, but I just realized I might be prompted to print something out. (Of course, I'm sure the registration for the days I need will be all reserved by then, but I'll be optimistic for a minute here.) Will I need to go to the DL Hotel business center to do this?

Thank you. :)

No you don't need to print anything out. All you need to do is show up about 30 minutes before the event with your AP and ID to receive your wristband. When you sign up online you can ask it to email your confirmation number. If you encounter any problems you can always bring up your email to show them your confirmation number.
You do have to sign up for early entry at least 3 days before the event so keep that in mind.
Since everyone can only use early entry once in each park, you might be in luck. I imagine most people that take advantage of this will want to do it as early as possible. By September the events may not sell out.

Thank you!

And thanks for letting me know about the three day thing. Unfortunately that'll probably create a problem. I'd be arriving on a Thursday and leaving Sunday, so the best I'll be able to do is Sunday morning. Do you think that would work or do you think you'll need to register on Wednesday for Sunday?

The other issue that may come up is the website says you need to wait one day after activating your AP before it is in the system as active. I am in this boat too when we go in July. I don't know if calling instead of online will let you skip the one day delay. It looks like I will only have one possible day to do it for DCA, but I'll give it a try.

Ahhh yeah I'll probably be out of luck, then. Thanks for the heads up. I'll be staying on site so I'll be able to get in early with that, but having the AP as a backup would give me the freedom to pick which park depending on what I feel like that morning.

Don't know about whether there is something to print or not, but can say that you can go to the business center and print out anything you need. I've done it for airline check in, local restaurant coupons, etc.

Oh yeah, I've read that so I knew it was an option. I just didn't want to waste time going there if it wasn't necessary, but I also wanted to know ahead of time in case I was prompted to print some kind of a confirmation and wouldn't be able to access the website again. LOL

Thank you! :)

Has anyone done this yet? I read that you can reserve for up to 8 APs at a time when you log in. Do you need all the AP numbers to do so?

My mom's pass is active, ours won't be until we arrive in July, just wondering if she can register for all of us now for that trip.

We are staying onsite, so we'll get into the opposite park early if we want, but I was thinking the AP morning might be less crowded....

No, it said the AP must be active. We just bought our APs and but they aren't active yet either. Since we are there for 5 1/2 days we will try to get a reservation 3 days before and see if there is any room left for the event. We are staying off site, so no early entry for us if we can't get in with the AP event.

Quote from their site: "All Passholders in the party must have an active Annual Passport, both at the time of registration and on the date of the selected event."

While I have you guys here do you mind telling me how to redeem my AP gift voucher for the actual pass? I emailed Disney but never received a response. :( I'm sure it's been answered on the boards here a million times but I searched and couldn't come up with a solid post about it.

My voucher says on it:

"Present your Disney's eTicket at any resort turnstile. You will not need to wait in Will Call or Ticket Purchase lines." But then the very next line says "Once your valid Disney's eTicket has been scanned and voided, you will receive a standard ticket for processing at a Ticket Booth during your first visit." I'm confused! Do I just go to a ticket booth and present the voucher and let them take it from there? Or is there somewhere directly in the park I need to visit for my plastic card? I understand a photo inside the park is involved, too?

Thank you so much. This is my first time doing all of this, so I want to be prepared.

I was sort of wondering this too.

I know you can take it directly to the gate, to get in first thing in the morning without delay. And later you take it to a ticket booth. But we are arriving mid-day and I was wondering if you HAVE to take it to the gate first, or if we can just go to the ticket booth first since we won't be in a hurry to get in to the parks mid-day.

Oh, I have also heard that now you have to take it to a photo pass person in the park for your picture which won't be on the card. This is different from when we got our APs the year before last.

I'm also arriving mid-day so I won't really be in a rush to get in with the morning crowds, but saving a few minutes here and there could be valuable! (Plus I like to look like I know what I'm doing, even if I don't. LOL) I'll just head to a ticket booth and see what they say!

I went with the gift vouchers in case something happens and I can't make it before the end of the year, at least I can give them to someone else. I wonder if it'll take longer for processing since none of my information will be in the system. If you enter all of your info (name/address/etc) when purchasing, is it much easier to redeem your voucher?

DH and I upgraded from PH to AP. We went to the ticket booth after our MM on our way back to our room for a mid-day break. It took about 5 mins to get upgraded and get our new passes. They didn't have any of our information either. We had to show ID, they took our address off our DL and asked for an email address (so we could get all the update info). It was a pretty smooth and quick transaction.

I predict your experience will be just as smooth. :cool1:

Great, thanks! I've only been to DL twice, both times on crowded Saturdays. This time I'm arriving on Thursday and I don't want to waste any precious time on the only day I'll be there when it'll be "slow." LOL
