I got a monthly Passholder email and one of the links says 'Join us for an early peek at The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, 11/1–11/5/15.' But when I click on the link provided, it just takes me to the regular Osborne Lights page. Does anyone know anything about this?

Probably a special event they haven't announced yet. Because the lights don't open to the public until 11/6.

Wow, I haven't heard of anything for the AP holders regarding the Osborne Lights since 2002, when they discontinued the AP holders' preview night. It was just one night, as I remember it was about a week before they opened to the general public, and there were free cookies and beverages. Ahh, the good ole' days. And in 2011, the Osborne Lights were lit during the F&W 1/2 Marathon (10/1 that year) as a surprise to the runners. I'd be interested if they're doing anything special since it's the last year.

Well, like I said, the link wasn't very helpful as the page it took me to didn't say anything about a special passholder event

Unless it is on there and I've missed it. I'm not really surprised that a Disney email would discuss something and include a link that has little to do with what they discussed, but the info in quotations in my first post was copied right from the passholder email.

I just came here looking for the info as well. Got the email but no info on the link. I think that would be a nice treat and a good reason to go early.

same boat...I click on the link and it just takes me to the regular Osborne site, maybe the DPB was supposed to publish the story, it's been stuck on the Halloweishes pictures almost all day

the lights have been on for the W&D runners for the last couple of years

I arrive on the 5th for the W&D 1/2. Excited to have an AP opportunity. Guess they are trying to placate us a bit after this week's pricing announcement. ;)

Didn't get an email, but hope this is true. We arrive on the 1st!

I don't get anything passholder related despite having been a passholder for years. Neither does my fiance or mother. I have called many times to try to get emails, Mickey Monitor, anything. Its a good thing I have everyone on the Disboards to keep me informed!

I wonder how crowded these days will be (if it is true). I'll be there for the Wine and Dine race, so we would be able to go during the preview or after. I feel like the lights are going to be super crowded most times, since it is the last year for them.

I was just on the phone with Passholder services, guest service, the operator & guest reservations about this. I was transferred numerous times and nobody seems to know anything about it. They went so far as to contact Guest Services at Hollywood Services and nothing. They suggested I email guest services about the email.

Sad to say that this does not surprise me....

I got the email too.... Same thing happened when I clicked on the link. What time do they light them up? We leave for home that day, but if it isn't too too late I might can convince dh.

But during the last couple years, hasn't the race been moved to November? Or has it still been at the beginning of the F&W? I'll admit, DH hasn't run it since 2011,when it was the first weekend of the F&W, but I thought I'd read that the race date was moved. That's why I mentioned it-the date was so far away from the general opening. Sorry if I was wrong and the race is still that early.

The race is November 7.

I have never gotten one passholder email! :( I am wondering about this too though. We are planning a trip mid December and only plan on going to Hollywood Studios just for the lights. We would love to just go down for a night to see the light in the preview. That would save us a whole day!
Where do you think we will be able to find out more about this? I didn't see anything on the passholder facebook page either, like I did with the SWW posters and the wine glasses.

Sounds like we'll just have to wait until Disney catches up with itself. I'd keep watching this thread or the boards, someone will most likely post in here or somewhere on this forum about it when we all find out.
