Annual Passholder and DDP

DH and I are taking DS in May 2009. If the annual passholder (room discount) and DDP are still available we'd like to do this. My question is...I'll be the only one with an annual pass as I'm visiting WDW with friends before May 2009. Will DH and DS also have to have the annual pass in order for us to get the room discount and get the DDP? Or can DH and DS have 6 day park hopper passes and I have the annual pass? Thank you!

It is my understanding that you must also buy 1 day of park tickets to get the DDP as it is part of the room package. You can get a room discount and DDP but you also need to get 1 ticket.

Keep your receipt and if you are going to renew your AP soon they will give you credit for your day ticket. However, they make the renew of your AP retro active to the date of the ticket purchase.

You can now book DDP without buying park tickets if you have an AP. You can book DDP with AP discount on the room.

I've got DDP booked with AP discount for May. They didn't ask if we all had AP so I'm pretty sure only the person booking needs to have the AP.

Well, that is great news! If I'm the only one who needs an AP then we can still purchase DH and DS tickets through our military base which will also save us money! I think I'll be calling Disney to make sure this is correct. Hopefully, there will be an AP code next May or even offer to do this
