Do you need a California Drivers License for proof of residency to purchase a Southern CA AP or to gain entry at the gate? I have hunted on the Disneyland website, but I can't find any "official" word on it. I have a friend who is headed to Ventura to take care of some family settlements for a few months....she loves DL, so I was thinking of getting one of the AP's for her, but she will not get a CA license or any "real" address, as she will be staying with family. Will that be a big "no no?"

I was going get her a 5 day pass, but it looks like those expire 13 days after first use, and that would be kind of pointless!

Any help?

When they were offering the 2-for-1 SoCal offer back in the Spring I asked about getting them for my nephews who do live in SoCal. I wanted to pick them up ahead of time and surprise them with the tickets, and had to jump through a great number of hoops to do so as apparently you're supposed to show some kind of proof you live in the area when purchasing. The CM at the ticket booth was very helpful though, asking about school ID (the kids are in kindergarten and pre-school, so no IDs) and so forth.

yes, they will ask you for proof of residency...even if you do have a CA Drivers License doesn't always qualify you for the So CA Annual Passport. The So CA Annual Passport is limited to the "Southern CA" zip code range. I can't remember what that range is. Sorry.
