Can you purchase annual passes from over here in the UK?
If so
a) is there a contact tel no
b) are the prices as quoted on the disney.com website?
c) whats involved in activating them once in the US of A?

Many thanks
paulc

I think you have to order them by phoning Disney in the USA. I don't think you can order them direct in the UK, or online and have them delivered internationally. If you do phone you will be sent a voucher which you excahnge for the AP at any regular Disney ticket office at the parks. It is activiated the first time you use it.

Thanks for the info ROB. This site really never ceases to amaze me. I've just booked for end of Oct 04 and so am in full planning mode. I am sure I'll be posting more questions in the near future

If you want to wait until you arrive in Florida, they sell the actual activated APs at the two Disney stroes at Orlando Airport (MCO) :)

I'm a great believer in Annual Paases.

They are excellent value for anyone who is going to spend more than eight days in the parks or will be returning within 12 months.

Hi netty,

Well, on the face of it they aren't cheap:

$379 adults
$322 children (age 3-9)

Premium Annual Passes (which include unlimited entry to the water parks, Pleasure Island, Disney Quest etc etc in addition to the theme parks) are as follows:

$499 adults
$424 children.

(Edited to add - all prices are exclusive of tax)

I'm looking on mine as an investment;) (well that's what I told DH when I explained it would cost $2000 for our family of 4)LOL. You can get all sorts of discounts with them though - including accommodation at Disney (depending on what Disney are offering promotion wise at the time). Other discounts include money off Mini Golf (50% I think) various restaurants and some shops including World of Disney at DTD (I think!).

It depends on how long you are going for and how many days you are likely to spend at Disney as to whether this is a good deal or not. I'm lucky enough to be going twice in a year so this definitely saves me money!

If you need any more help, feel free to ask!

Karen

Thanks very much Karen for all the information, it does sound a good deal!!

You can buy some tickets online from Disney World.com but you must select USA as your country of residence other wise you get redirected to the UK site. Haven't checked the APs though !

Once you have selected your tickets there is an international delivery option ($10). I've recently ordered my MVMCP tickets this way :D

I've been trying this for ages but it doesn't work, just tried it again now  When I go to register to purchase what's in my basket, it just loads the same page again and again. I think I'll wait til we get there and buy the APs at DTD on the way to check in. Would've been great to buy em online tho!

I've just checked and you can buy APs online - you can either pay $10 international shoipping or use the free 'will-call' option :D

Posted before I saw your reply sorry Anz
Have you tried pre-registering? It's the same registration you use for all the Disney sites (including the Disney Store)

Are there any advantages to buying online in advance of your holiday? You would still have to visit a ticket office to exchange the vouchers for the actual pass, so there's not really any time saved by buying them in advance. If you want to lock in the current exchange rate you could buy some travellers cheques and stick them in an envelope marked 'annual passes' and use that to buy the APs!

We've never bothered buying in advance as it is so easy to buy APs when you get to Orlando.
