This is our first time purchases annual passes. We know you can redeem them at any of the theme parks, but is there anywhere else? One other thing, does anyone know if there are clothes lines in the bathrooms in a one bedroom at bwv?

Thanks Amy

I've always just gone to the customer service desk at any park entrance. Don't know why you would want to do it prior to entering the park, but I'm sure the info desks at Downtown Disney, etc could do it for you.

I'm pretty sure the shower in your room will have a pull out clothesline

You can also redeem at any ticket window (don't need to go to Guest Services).

I redeemed mine at DTD last year. We were staying at the AP rate and were told that I needed the pass (not the voucher) when we checked in. (They asked for neither!)

We've never had a clothesline in a BWV 1-br. We've had to string up our own to dry out DH's running/exercise clothes. Not very convenient. If I remember correctly, I loop it around the bar at the top of the shower door and stretch it down to the handle of the door to the living area. Pretty much makes the door unusable while clothes are drying. I'd be very happy to find one in the future.

Ooops you are right it is only in the studio bathroom not the master bathroom. Sorry!

I am thinking because there is a dryer in the 1br that there might not be a line, but, then again something keeps me thinking there is one over the whirlpool tub.

Apparently (according to AllEars) you can redeem your vouchers or buy the whole thing at the Disney Earport at MCO (2 locations). Have not tried this, but plan to our next trip.

I am a newbie to the world of APs. Can anyone tell me how good the AP holder hotel discounts are, and how far ahead they are usually offered? We would love to add an AKL stay to our upcoming BWV "home" stay.

I have more questions with APs. Just because you buy one for one year you dont have to keep doing it if it does not make sense do you?
For ex, my husband and I are going for 4 days in July. Between Dec and March we plan on going for 6-7 days. It would make sense to buy and annual pass, wouldnt it? Im thinking it would then expire in July 2005?
How much do they run and do we call MC?
Thanks,
Lisa

Purchased SSR this past Wednesday!!!

We have always purchased our AP vouchers from the Disney Store and redeemed them the first day of our trip. Then we plan to travel the next year a few days short of the expiration date (365 days from first use date). When they allowed you do renew and not have to start using them right away, we did that, but now renewal makes no sense to us, since they start the clock running from the date of expiration. Instead, we buy new vouchers and hold them until the next year. That way we get as many days as possible on one AP. Here is an example of what we do:
Jan. 14,'04 first use of a 10 day trip
October '04 7 day trip
Jan. 3,'05 for a 10 day trip
That gives us 27 days on one AP. Then we will purchase vouchers again this fall and hold them until January of '06 when we will activate them again.

The AP discounts are usually VERY good--on the order of 40-45% off of rack rates.

However the primary downside is that they are typcially announced with VERY little advance warning. There have also been periods when NO discounts were offered. And, the number of rooms available at the AP rate is limited.

I did a quick check on the Resorts board and found that the last codes covered stays for 2/12 through 4/17. The codes were released right around the first of the year, and booking had to occur between 1/2 and 2/9.

If you're considering a stay on cash, subscribe to the newsletter at Mousesavers.com. They send out a special mailing whenever new codes are released, which would give you the best chance of getting the room you want.

Check this link to see examples of the last round of discounts:

AP rates can actually be booked up til the day you check in...if there happens to be availability. More rooms seem to open up closer to checkin in our experience but I don't know if more are released from unbooked inventory or if it's just cancellations. I always try to book as soon as I know AP rates are avaliable but have had to call back sometimes.

Codes on the other hand do have those limited windows in which to book.
