My interest has been peaked about APs after finding out that AP holders are paying only $49 a night for the POP Century Resort at the same time I am paying around $129 a night the week of Christmas.

We are DVC members, so I was hoping we wouldn't pay to stay onsite much, but on weekends if we stay I don't want to pay the points, and the holiday points at Christmas time are too high (only hve 150 points--and we won't be buying any more, that was a big investment for us).

So I was wondering. Do you get a discount on campsites at FW if you have an AP? Are there always discounts on resorts with APs? I was wondering around spring break time (last week of March) would they still offer discounts on resorts.

It seems like to make the AP feasible, we would need to spend 3 weeks at WDW.

OH! And another question. If I bought an AP just for the discount, can I reserve 2 resort rooms in my name? Next Christmas my sister is coming with us and we would need 2 rooms. Or does an AP holder have to be in each room reserved.

Sometimes. Availability of resorts, rooms, and categories varies. There is nothing that is available all the time every time.

No.

The break even point using an AP for park admissions only is eight days. Should you be lucky enough to get an AP discount on your resort booking, it makes the payback time even less.

You can reserve up to three rooms with an AP discount. The only stipulation is that the AP holder must be present when the occupants of the other rooms check-in.

Thanks! Now I need to talk to DH about getting APs for next year. We have 2 days left on our park hoppers we need to use up on this next trip.

Someone mentioned 'upgrades'. Can we 'upgrade' to an AP and apply the cost of the 2 days left on our hopper passes to a new AP?

If we did get an AP, where would we get it. And would we still be able to get the discount on our resort this December (next month)?

Thanks!
