Haven't really kept up with the new ticket procedure. However, I am assuming annual passes still work the same. That is, I will get a voucher and the use year begins when I use my first day. No date needs to be selected at time of purchase

Just remember that you have to go to any ticket window or Guest Relations location (parks or DS) before you enter a park, to activate your AP. They’ll give you a plastic card that you have to show for discounts etc., and that card is also your AP ticket that you can use for park admission, tapping in for FPs, etc. if for some reason you don’t have a MB at that moment.
