Are you able to buy DVC Annual passes for non-members?

I will taking my younger brother and sister as my guests for my 2009 Christmas trip.
Also, a couple of days ago my Dad approached me about being able to use my points in 2010 to surprise my mom with a family trip to WDW for her 50th birthday.

Since both trips will fall in a 12 month period, I would like to purchase annual tickets with the DVC discount for my brother, my sister, and myself.

You can buy APs for members of your immediate family living in the same household. They would need to show ID that shows they live at the same address (children are exempt from the ID rule though).

Thanks! I was wondering that too!!
A new owner here :woohoo: .what are the prices for the passes??

It is $100 off the current price of the standard AP, and $125 off the Premium AP. You can order them through the member website (when you have all your info), or through Member Services.

The standard AP works out to be a great deal if you are spending more than a week at WDW over the course of a year, and don't normally go for the plus options or want a non-expiring pass.

In addition, you get additional discounts, and the option of getting the Tables In Wonderland card, which for $60 gets you 20% most (not all) table service meals and a few counter service places.

Thank you for such a quick reply! My DH and I are so new that we are still awaiting our final paperwork. Could not be more excited to be members!

And a BIG thank you to ALL of you here...you did not know it but we lurked for many months before making our decision.

Forgot to add...you can also purchase them at the discounted rate in person at any of the ticket booths or at Guest Relations at DTD - just have your Member card...

I have a question about annual passes too so I'll just ask on this thread....Can you purchase the annual passes if you are on the dvc contract as an associate? We don't technically live in the same household as my mother who is the main person the contract, but I'm listed as an associate on her contract.

No.

not to hijack the thread, but...when you buy the APs, are they effective immediately or are they effective from the date you first enter a park that year?:confused3

If you order them online or via MS, you can opt for a "will call" (where you pick them up on location at a ticket booth/guest relations), or be sent a voucher for an extra charge ($3 I think). In either case, it will be activated and thus effective on the day you pick up the actual AP.

If you purchase the AP on location, it is effective the day of purchase.

Renewals are always effective after the original expires.

When you buy a new AP, you get a voucher which you must exchange at Guest Services before entering a park. The pass will be active for one year from that point. If you renew, the pass will be valid for one year from when you renewed.
