The annual pass that they are including in the package now. Can you use that for the annaul pass discounts that Disney offers? Or is it a special annual pass that they only give out for DFTW?

When you pick up your annual pass you will receive a list of stores and restaurants where you get the discounts. I believe the discounts are the same as any annual pass holder. During our wedding trip I waited to buy most of our souvenirs at the World of Disney because you get 10% off. The list is pretty decent. Definitely a plus! :thumbsup2

You also might want to look into getting the Disney Dining Experience card which gets you more discounts at restaurants around Disney. It's $65 for annual pass holders.

The back of your annual pass will say that you received it from DFTW.

Thanks! Also, if you get the 10% discount from the annual pass can you get an aditional 10% for being a Disney Chase Card member?

Nope. You have to pick the best discount that applies, you can't combine them.

:rotfl2: Whenever I buy something, I have to go through the whole list with the CM at the register. Is there a Disney Visa, DVC, Annual Pass discount?

can you upgrade the pass to the premium one that includes the water parks and pleasure island?

Also, there are annual pass resort discounts offered once in a while. Mousesavers.com is the best source of info for the info. If you booked your resort hotel by yourself, you need to call Disney and see if the discount can be applied to your ressie. If you used a travel agent, they can do that for you. (Some TA's may not be up and up on this, if you used a TA that specializes in Disney you should be set)

Annual pass discounts are becoming less frequent and not all resorts will have a discount. The last round of AP discounts was pretty dismal compared to previous years. We've saved hundreds of $ over the last several years with the ap discount. The discount codes are released a few months in advance of the available dates.

Since SIL got the AP's with her DFTW package, I'll be on the lookout for her next year as I'm her TA. It's was a nice surprise to have the tix in the package as I was going to suggest one of them get an AP for a possible discount. They are staying at AKL and we've saved as much as $150 on our room in the past. That's a huge savings.

I still can't believe that DFTW give us AP's!!!! I mean, yes we are having a wedding there, but we are choosing to. I think it's soo nice of the company.

Also, I called Disney two days ago to reserve a week at Polynesian for our planning session. The cost was about $308 per night-with AP discount. The guy on the phone said that I was getting a bit over $100 per night off. So if that is true, then I think it's excellent.

I can't wait to see what the discounts are like for December! ;)

Considering they increased the price of the Escape weddings by more than the retail price of two APs in order to give us those APs, I'm not sure they did it to be nice...:rotfl:
