Is there anyway to purchase an annual pass and get it coded as travel for extra points on any of the Chase cards? Or is there a way to use points to pay for part of an annual pass?

I don't know of any way to have it code as travel since you can only purchase an AP directly from Disney. If it doesn't code as "travel" when you make that transaction, then you cannot force it to do so.

However, you can use your UR points for cash back or a statement credit. That would be one way to use your UR points for any portion of a Disney vacation.

Thank you! Just wanted to double check before I made a purchase that big :)

If you're staying onsite can you charge the AP to your room? If the charge at the end of your trip will show as the hotel and code as travel.

Ticket purchases cannot be charged to your room account. I learned that a year ago when I wanted to use my MB to pay for an AP upgrade at Guest Services. They will accept GCs, cash and CC.

While that was my experience, a cm here has said that ticket can be charged to your room.

I wonder if it depends on the CM. In January of this year we upgraded our tickets to AP's at the MK City Hall and were able to charge the upgrade cost and TIW to our MB's. We brought GC's with us since we'd heard we couldn't use our MB's, but CM had no problem letting us charge them.

Exploring options....how does Undercover Tourist code? Thinking I could buy them there and just price bridge them. That way the majority of the purchase might possibly code as travel?!?

I just used my magic band to upgrade to an AP in September.

For Disneyland my monthly AP payment codes as merchandise/marketing on the Costco Citi Card. When I upgraded at the ticket booth to the premier pass last month that coded as entertainment on my American Airlines Citi Card.
