Annual Passes can be purchased at Resort!

I woudl call directly down to the resort and ask. They should be able to tell you.

I called the Contemporary (since we are staying at BLT) and the woman I spoke with said APs can not be purchased there.:confused3

Wonder if they are just trying it in some resorts.

We are going down on Thursday (staying at BWV).

My friend did it at the Contemporary (the story I related above). Did you actually speak to the front desk at the Contemporary? That is so unlikely unless you have a special direct number. All the published numbers still go just to the regular call center - you get the call center when you call from your room when you are there.

I don't know why. The CM at the BWV concierge/guest services desk mentioned that they are just beginning this option so maybe the woman you spoke with didn't get that memo. If I have a question about tickets or anything of that sort and I ask at the front desk, they usually direct me to the resort's guest services. I don't think the front desk knows all the details.

I will admit I didn't ask if it's available at all resorts. She mentioned that they can now offer Annual Passes at the resorts. I guess I assumed it was all resorts. I can't imagine why it would only be available in some resorts.???:confused3

I just called ms to check on this and they said I can not purchase APs at Guest Services in my resort. We head down next week and I loved hearing this news. Are we right or is ms.

Well, because I was able to purchase it, I wouldn't believe the MS rep in this case. Actually there are a few things I have asked them about and they suggested I call the hotel directly.

I agree, call and ask to speak to the Concierge/Guest Services of the resort. Let them know that you want to verify that they are selling APs at the resort. They may even say they don't, but since I am proof they can, I would insist on speaking to a manager in that case just to confirm for yourself.

Let us know what happens if you call. :)

We just got back from the GF and it was not available there. I was hoping to renew our DVC anual passes before heading to the park and they said it had to be done at the park. I don't know if this is because it is not a DVC resort.

I will try again tomorrow and ask to speak to someone at guest services.

Couldn't wait so I just tried again and I can not get past the lady at resort information. Anyway I got the same answer.

I am happy to hear this! It will be much more convenient for us to get the renewal at the hotel and I so much like the sturdier card better than the flimsy one they give you. Good point about mixing them up, though!

I'm staying at AKL Concierge in a few weeks, and I emailed them about this. They confirmed that it is correct that APs can now be purchased at the resort, but they said that the desk people are learning the process so some confusion may occur. I'm planning to buy on the DVC discount with part Disney Rewards points, part room charge. I'm hoping they can handle all that.

Thanks for confirming. For a minute there, I thought it was only available at BWV.:confused3

The CM who assisted me was quick and efficient. She didn't have any problems processing the APs. To be honest, it was quicker there than when I bought it at the Ticket booth at the parks.

It sounds like it's still very new. So hopefully all the CMs get to the same efficient level. :)

Thanks for that info. We are staying AKL CL starting this sunday and our APs expire a few days into our trip. Glad to know we may be able to renew them at the hotel if we chose to.
