Heard a lot about the Annual passes. Are they really worth it and are the discounts really that good?:D

We find the hotel discounts well worth having the AP. Generally they are the same as what the Fla Res discount is.

The trick is to buy one annual pass and then park hoppers for everyone else. That way you get the room discounts that are as much as 40% and 10% off the food bill at a few of the popular eateries. So combined the discounts make up for the AP.

Hope that helps

All our family had AP's last year but we went in Oct 2003, some of us Dec 2003 and all of again June 2004 (2 weeks) so they were definately worth it. This year I renewed only 2 AP's and the other will only be going in June or Sept so we are going to try to get the FITS passes if they still have them. If not probably the 10 day world passes since we will be there 10 days.
I do think its a good idea atleast one person have an AP for the discounts.

Check out Mousesavers.com. There is a section that compares what you will spend with and without AP. It also shows typical AP room discounts so that you can see how much you can save on the room. And don't forget that you can get discounts at World of Disney and several resturaunts for lunch. We have had one since 1997. Just check the site and do a little math and you'll be able to figure out if it's for you or not.

I'm thinking an annual pass will not be worth it for us. But thought I'd ck w/you experienced Disers to be sure. We're doing a 4 day cruise. Thought we'd go over to MK and stay at the Poly for 2 days when done. Only going to MK. We live out of state and its doubtful we'll be back for several years to use pass again. I know the pass helps with discounts at the poly, but we thought we'd either get a 1 or 2 day pass. What would you do?

Hmm...

The AP wouldn't be best for you at first glance. However if you are needing 2 days of park passes you may have several choices.

They don't sell park hopper tickets in 1 or 2 or even 3 day increments. They are available in 4, 5 and I think 7 day passes and allow you access to all 4 theme parks.

Now, those days never expire but you are forced to buy at least 4.

The price of a single day of admission at the MK is $58.31 Adults (10 and older); $46.59 Children (3-9) Epcot, MGM, and AK are all about the same within a few dollars.

So if you will only visit 1 park each of the two days, then buy the single tickets. If you want to visit more than 1 park in each of the two days then buy park hopper tickets.

The other choice is to book a vacation package, they will sell you an ultimate park hopper ticket that is good for the length of the stay. The only catch is it's a minimum of 3 days.

Hope this helps.
