Hi does anyone know about buying annual passes? I'm interested in the lower priced one w/ blackout dates, when does the "year" begin? when you purchase, or on date of first use? I want to purchase ahead of trip, but want the full years use... thanks for any help! :earsgirl:

Power passes will be good for a year (365 days) after you first use them, not when you buy them.

I bought one regular Annual Pass (for the hotel discounts) and three Power Passes for my family. The extra $$ I paid was paid for more than twice with the summer promo getting my 4th night free at the Royal Pacific.

The Premium passes are worth the extra money. You get the free parking plus all the discounts. You can also put in on your credit card for around 15.00 a month.

The premium offered better room rates than being a FL resident. I save $30 a night as a PAP holder over the FL resident rate. Plus 20% at in-park stores and 15% at in-park meals except food carts and alcoholic drinks. Plus Most City Walk restaurants offer 10% off. During 1 trip alone you should save enough to pay for the premium. Plus by looking at the renewal cost. It cost the same to renewal both. $99 a year. We went to USO for the first time in July. The PAPs combined with staying onsite was awesome. Its nice to be able to go mid summer and not wait in lines longer than 10 mins. My Disney AP expires the first of the year and it will be awhile before I buy a new one. We're sticking with USO for awhile.

well, b/c of our plans- we're already set at the DVC- we decided to get the lower cost ap's- we don't do sit down at Universal, usually find a place on the way back to our hotel at Disney anyway...so we were happy to get these passes, they didn't have them awhile ago, we just want admission, and b/c they're annual, we will definitely go earlier next year and get 2 vacations use out of them -we had been considering the 7 day pass that expires, for almost the same price. we haven't been to universal in a few years, and we're looking forward to having a lot of fun! :Pinkbounc
