Annual Pass

So if we bought a 7 day hopper pass in May and have three days on each, could we up date to an annual pass?'

Hi everyone!

After giving some miss leading info regarding AP's, I read thru this Q/A regarding AP's. This will probably answer the questions below:

So if we bought a 7 day hopper pass in May and have three days on each, could we up date to an annual pass?'
Do you really have to go to customer service and activate the pass to check in? You can't check in with the voucher?

Thanks for the help!
Well, I thought giving a website was being very helpful, so I'll over look this rude comment and copy and paste what it says about your question because I'm a nice person!

Here is your answer from the link:

Do I have to actually have an AP/PAP before I can call to get any special AP resort rates?

No you don't. You can call and book the rates without having the AP/PAP in hand.

Here's your answer:

The policy about having it at the time of resort checkin is clear as mud. Some people have been allowed to obtain the rate at checkin with only their AP/PAP voucher. Others have been told to return to the resort front desk to show the desk CM after activating the pass. Still others have not been asked for any AP/PAP at all. The official Disney policy states an activated AP/PAP pass is needed at checkin. You may want to avoid any potential embarrassment at checkin by having an activated pass at that time.

One word of caution. If you buy a AP as a upgrade from another discount ticket, the time for the AP starts the day you used the other ticket.
Example: we bought FL Resident discount tickets and then upgraded to AP. It was back dated to the first time we used the original ticket.
Only if you do the upgrade within the first seven days of use. That's when they will apply the entire amount you paid for the pass (unless you bought it from a ticket wholesaler) to the cost of the AP. They will then back date your AP to the first use of the old ticket.

Once that seven day window has elapsed, you can only do the upgrade by crediting the value of the remaining unused major park admissions towards the AP. Doing it this way means your AP will start the one year from the day you do the upgrade.

DIZNEE25: Sorry if my response came across as rude. It was a sincere "Thanks". But apparantly didn't come out that way. I really liked this guy:rolleyes: - thought he was cute and didn't realize he was a "rolleyes". That was not the intent. Thanks again for your help.
