I was wondering if anyone remembers this. I was once on Mousesavers & i thought she had a calculator to let you know if if was worth buying a annual pass & how much money you would save, or not save. But I have been looking & can't seem to find it there anymore. Does anyone know what I am talking about? Thanks Cristen

We bought the annual pass because if you stay 8 days or more, it's cheaper than buying the other tickets.

If you have a PassPorter, they have a calculator in chart form where it will show which you should buy for the number of days you'll be there.

This how we ended up deciding on media -

We had bought our passes before the price increase so it worked out even better for us cost wise -- excluding the misc. AP discounts we broke even and I get to sqeeze in another trip. :D We were a party of 6 but I was the only to get an AP due to only 1 person needing an AP to get free parking, use the misc. disocunts. Some discounts are limited -- i.e. 10% off at such and such dining for AP holder and 3 guests.

So, a 7 day Park Hopper Plus in advance at the Disney Website is $307 and an AP is $369. A price difference of $62. If you are offsite you can also add in parking which is $6/day for 7 days, maybe it's $7/day now. Anyhow, that further reduces the difference to $20 per AP. Plus, you still have misc discounts for AP holders.

Bottom line -- unless you are really going to take advantage of the misc discounts or make multiple trips in a year then the break even point now is 8 days.

I know there are cheaper places to buy tix from but Ii'm not much on taking chances on places being legit or having the tix replaced if they are lost.

:D

thanks again. you guys are a big help. I was wanting to buy them, just for the discount on the hotel. I figured we're going anyway, if the hotel discount offset it, then I can have an excuse to go back another time. Tell DH I really should put this pass to use! :)
