We are looking at going for five days so an annual pass is economical. My question is on the Franconian pass I keep seeing things about not bring able to use to right after purchase. Can some one explain how that works?
Also we are pretty sure we will be stating on property so no black out dates? Correct? prproperty so

the Francillien annual pass can be used on the first day you buy it at DLP, but then it can't be used on the 2nd and 3rd days (these are non-contractual dates, so it doesn't matter if you are onsite, you can't use the Francillien on these dates for park entry). Blackout dates are different from the 2 non-contractual dates - you can use annual passes on blackout dates for park entry if you are staying onsite.

There may be a way around the Francillien annual pass non-contractual dates, another member ThBa has ordered and paid for his Francillien annual pass to be sent to him through the post from DLP, in advance of his trip. He is going to update us on his return at the end of March, whether this was a successful way of avoiding the non-contractual dates.
