can anyone advise me if it is worth me getting one?
We have booked all sta movies with dreams unlimited and have aaa discount hopefully. Will i get bigger discount with annual pass?
We are not going until may so i wouldn't want to purchase it until just before we go,then hopefully get another trip in within the year.
What do you think? Can i purchase an annual pass just before and still apply discount to a room only res?
HELP ME PLEASE BEFORE MY HEAD BURSTS!!! :crazy2:

yes you can get your AP at any of the parks or DT when you get there
just remember to take photo id with you

The resort will give you 24 hours to show them your pass

If you tell your Dreams agent that you intend to get an AP they will apply any discounts that become available automatically :)

You only need one AP to get the room discounts.

Also, if you get an AP, you can then apply for the Disney Dining Experiance card (DDE) which gives you 20% off most table service restaurants :)

You can purchase an AP direct from Disney, over the phone. You receive a voucher that you activate on your first visit to a park. The year starts from when you activate it, not when you purchase the voucher :)

thank you thank you thank you!!!
You got there in time-my head is now slightly smaller than a mickey balloon!
Read that you can get up to 45% of room rates,so i will go for it and see what happens. :thumbsup2

Apart from the first time we went to WDW, we have always bought an AP - excellent value!

If we did not get one for last year November we would not be going back this October, the price saving on not having to buy passes made it possible to go, we also have Universal power passes at $99 each that gives us unlimited entry to both parks [although with USF they are some blackout dates]. We have had AP's first in 2003 the first time we managed to get fantastic room discounts at CRB in February and also managed to get two weeks for four of us xmas 2003 ASMo for $50 per night[extra holiday] the total cost was £1,500 Flights/car/ASMo for 14 nights at peak season.

Also my wife goes mad shopping and gets 10% off at DTD, she would spend the same money if we did not have them.

For us they have been excellent value, I reckon on both occassions we have had the total cost back based on room rates, shopping discount and money saved on unlimited park entries ie not having to buy new passes for a second visit and a fantastic excuse to go back to WDW

You can buy them now if you want to pay for them now rather than at the time of your holiday they only activate when you arrive at WDW and visit guest services and last for one year from that date

Of course you know this means i will have to squeeze in another trip within that year-it would be rude not to!
