Annual pass upgrade

Let's say that I book a package such as splash, stay and play, which gives us access to the parks for our entire stay. Can I upgrade to an annual pass while at Universal like you can when you have purchased tickets separately? I'm assuming not since it's a package, but thought I would ask.

That special seems to include a normal ticket, according to the description on the website. In that case, you can just upgrade that ticket to whatever you want. How long are you staying for?

Then you will need to get the explorer ticket, which can be upgraded to an AP. There is no special ticket that you are being given for admission with this package. You can choose the ticket you want...either single day admissions up to a 5 day ticket or the explorer ticket. Those are the options they give you when you go online to purchase this package.
