Annual Pass Upgrade Questions???

my family currently holds annual passes that will expire on 6/23/04...we are going to make one more trip on them before they expire...we are planning to visit typhoon lagoon during our stay in june...i know that you can upgrade your annual passes to premium annual passes that include the waters parks and disney quest and the cost to do this is the pro-rated difference between the costs of the annual pass and the cost of the premium annual pass....

so, here's my questions...has anyone every upgraded your annual passes to premium annual passes??? would disney give me any grief about upgrading my passes that are going to expire in a few days to the premium annual passes??? i would then turn around and renew the passes for another year on their expiration date as regular (non-premium) annual passes...i'm thinking that if i can get away with this, we might be able to save a bunch of money on the cost of the typhoon lagoon admission...

yep, it does sound like i am trying to S T R E T C H the rules alittle bit but does anyone know if i can get away with this???

My understanding is they no longer pro-rate. You will have to pay the full uprade amount regardless of expiration date. This comes from the FAQ here:

Disney does not prorate AP upgrades any longer. They haven't for about two years now.

You can do what you suggest if you pony up the $120 plus tax price difference. No longer matters whether your AP has 6 months or 6 days left until it expires, the upgrade to a PAP will cost you the entire amount of the price difference between AP and PAP for whatever time remains on your original AP.
