Hi all!

My fiance and I just received our annual pass vouchers in the mail as a thank you for booking our wedding. I know saving the vouchers for a future vacation has its perks, but as far as current savings go, I'm trying to decide if using them now is worth it.

During our wedding/honeymoon, we will be in Disney World for 11 days (10 nights). 5 nights will be spent at Pop Century and 5 nights will be spent in Animal Kingdom Lodge. Right now, we have a package with rooms + park admission (hopper included) + dining plan + memory maker. Would scrapping the package and using the annual passes save us much money?

I'm torn! Help!!

If nothing else, it will save you several hundred dollars on the admission you're currently paying for. You might also be able to use it to get a discount on your rooms, though then you'll need to purchase the dining plan separately under their offer for annual passholders. Plus, having an AP will entitle you to purchase the Tables In Wonderland discount card, which gets you 20% off food and drinks (including booze) at table service restaurants all over WDW. For two people, this is usually as much better value than the dining plan and eliminates the hassles of tracking credits.

I was having trouble articulating my answer. You just said it perfectly.

I really can't think of a downside.

Follow up to my previous question...

Disney sent me vouchers to turn in at the gate my first day there to redeem for my annual pass. Do you know if I'll be able to use Dining in Wonderland, room discounts, etc without the actual passes in my possession?

You can register the vouchers in My Disney Experience for access to the AP hotel rates. You just need to have an active pass when you check in (supposedly - I've never been asked for it at WDW hotels, only Disneyland). Tables In Wonderland you can purchase from Guest Services when you activate your vouchers there, but not before.

All of this information is extremely helpful! Im glad I saw this thread. I had never heard of the Tables in Wonderland! :):):):)

Between when I booked and now with our AP discount I've saved over $2000 on our rooms... We are staying for 3 weeks but the discounts can be pretty darn good!

Tables in Wonderland card is super awesome...at only $100.. you save 20% each sit down meal, and it pays for itself in no time! I just got through pricing out doing the Disney Dining plan vs TIW card, and it was no contest! We activated out Annual passes 50 weeks before our wedding when we went to disney at the end of October in 2013... then we went back for a long weekend planning session in May 2014, then the actual event in early Oct 2014! Got 3 uses out of the Annual passes! Was great! Just plan well!
