Annual Pass Room Discounts. Please Help.

I'm going to WDW in August this year and may purchase Annual passes, right now the discounts only go thru early June. Is that it for the year or do they usually announce more discounts as the year goes on. When would they usually announce discounts for around Aug 16, and what is the typical discount for a Deluxe resort.

Disney doesn't release AP discounts until a few months prior. Last year there were AP discounts for August. So there SHOULD be some discounts this year, but you never know what they will do next. I would say your chances are good, but only they know. Since it is value season, checkout the AP history on mousesavers and see what the discount prices were for the last value season (Jan 2007 to early February 2007). Those prices should help you gauge your price. We stayed at Pop the beginning of Feb. 07 and paid $59 a night for the room. Rack rate is $82.

Another question.
I'm purchasing 2 adult & 2 child annual passes, if I Want to buy the DDE card, do I need just one for the family or one for each pass. I'm getting conflicting answers.

You only need one for the whole family. I did buy two just in case DH and I were at different places.

The AP discount is usually $85 off the deluxe resorts during value season.

The AP discount for August last year was $75 off deluxe properties, there was also a general public rate of $70 off per night on the deluxes too .
