Annual Pass Room Discount before activation - Help needed

Hello all,

I have purchased annual passes today that I would like to activate on site during a trip in late May. I have not booked any rooms yet. When trying to locate the room discounts, I cannot find any special Pass holders rates. I chatted with a cast member, and they said that I couldn't get any discounts for rooms until after I activated my passes.

I believe this is incorrect information, but I am struggling to find further info.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

That is incorrect.
Does your AP show under Tickets in MDE?
It should, as long as you were signed in to MDE when you bought the AP
If you sign in to your MDE it will show the AP room rates. Probably have to scroll all the way to the end of the list of options.
And the only AP rates go to June 10. If you are looking for after that, there aren't any.

AngiTN, thanks for your reply. I am logged in and it shows the tickets. It even says "You are currently able to view products and prices for Passholders".

I know these are the same prices I looked at before I logged in.

Go to Special Offers, look for the Passholder promotion that fits your dates, there are 2 current ones, I think.
Click Check Availability

or

Go to the Resorts page, enter your dates (as long as it is before June 10)
Click on any of the resorts that show up as available.
Along the top of the list of rooms will be the different promos that apply to that stay. Scroll to the far end and there should be one for Passholders. Select it to see the Passholder rate. Just like with any other promo, there are resorts and room categories that will be sold out or unavailable with the Passholder promo.

Here is what I do. I'm sure there's a better way but it works for me. Google "Disney world promotions" and open the first result. It will show all current promos including AP. If you click on a non AP promo it takes you right there. If you click an AP promo it makes you log into your mde account. Once you log in, you can view the AP promos.

Thank you, that worked. For some reason it was defaulting me back to the summer fun discount and I had to look for the passholders one. You guys are the best!

I've never once had to prove I was an AP holder in order to get the AP discount. This is true before MDE as well as now. I've always booked through Dreams Unlimited, and they applied the AP discount. I've always been told I "may" need to show proof of my AP at checkin, but now that checkin is online, I don't know how that would even work.
