Apologies if this has been asked before but if I apply direct to disney for an annual Dream pass will it be sent in the post and can I then book a room using the discount? Or will I have to go to Disney, book a room at the normal rate and only during my second visit will I be able to book a discounted room?

And for the 30% discounted room rates would they have those rates now for November or do they only announce them at the last minute? We are hoping to go Wednesday November 26th for 4 nights, booking 2 rooms. We're being quoted £348 per room (2 adults in each room and a baby!) including tickets at the Santa Fe. If it were a similar price buying the annual pass i'd prefer that as I could use the ticket again next year.

I've read of people staying at the Santa Fe for under £50 a night and since we're going mid-week and just before busy season I thought we might get a great rate too assuming I could book with the AP.

Hope this all made sense and thanks in advance! :thumbsup2

Yes it would be sent in the post but I'm unsure if it needs to be activated by going to the park. But even if you could book a discounted room, if you don't want to actually use the dream pass until November, you'll be wasting 6 months of your pass. You can't book room only with Disney without an AP or shareholder card, so the best thing to do really if you want to buy APs is stay offsite in November, such as DreamCastle or Holiday Inn, and buy APs on your first day.

Hi, I spoke directly to the passport office about this the other day. I know they're not always reliable, but I was told:

Unfortunately you need to have the actual passport in hand before you can use it to book accommodation. This is because the temporary passport only allows you to collect your actual passport, within 30 days of receipt...and nothing else :(

This is probably a daft question but ...

My fantasy pass expires in August, can I still use it before that time to book ahead for room-only in December?:confused3

I can only guess at this but I would assume yes, are you planning on renewing it as I presume you will need to show it at check-in.
