Annual Pass reprints cost....

$20 each. So I just found that out the hard way. Do yourself a favor now and make a checklist for your Disney trip. And put your APs on that list.

Some days, I feel a lot dumber than others.
I keep my AP in my Disney backpack.

GC
Now that you have replacement AP's
Go have fun!!!

Ouch. Well, lesson learned, I guess. I 'lost' one of my kids' APs one year while we were dining at Rainforest Cafe in DTD. Looked everywhere, tore apart my wallet and purse, went back and searched through the hotel room, my pockets, the floor of the restaurant--nothing. Paid the $20 for replacement and subsequently discovered that her AP had glued itself to the back of mine in my wallet. Tried to get my $20 back but that was a no-go. Felt pretty dumb but learned that it had happened to a lot of other people, so...word of warning. If you're the holder of the passes and one turns up missing, check the others very carefully!

Glad things worked out in the end so you could get on with the fun.

There is an exception to the $20 replacement rule. If your AP gets stolen and you can show Guest Services a copy of the police report, they will print you a new AP for free.

So this just happened to my DD. She lost it while at the park and went to city hall where they told her she could go to the ticket booth and pay the $20 to get a new one. When she went to the ticket booth they told her she could check back and if they found it she wouldn't have to pay the $20. They gave her a regular pass to use for the day and it allowed her all A/P discounts. We came back the following week and they found it. What they do is put a note on your file that it was found, they shred it and when you come back they look to see if it was found if it is they don't charge you for the replacement. She was lucky and not charged because they found it.

I lost mine in DCA. They held it at CoC, and I had to show ID and answer questions about my account and usage fill out a form to get it back. They had a stack of probably 30, in a box with several other stacks, so I don't think they were going to shred them if they bothered to hold that many.

Lucky.

Dh lost both his and ds's when the Disneyland-purchased lanyard pouch tore while on the loop on screamin'.

They gave us the one day passes in case they were found (next day was our last day of that trip). The next time we went we asked, but supposedly they never found them. Not sure how that works, but...

And that's when we upgraded to sturdier lanyard pouches.

I was told the same thing back in May when I lost my AP. I think I left it in the FastPass machine at Haunted Mansion and when I went to City Hall to sort things out, I was given a temporary pass for the day and told that they destroy all of the APs found in the park at the end of each day and make a note in your account to waive the fee.

The next morning when I went to the ticket booth to have my pass reprinted, the castmember was super sweet and reprinted my pass without the $20 fee even though there wasn't a note on my account.

This goes to show that each CM has a different response. Oh well at least you got it back.:o

That was super sweet of that CM. Sometimes we do get a bit of pixie dust.:wizard:

I know how that feels... we were about 15 min from DL when I realized I forgot all 6 of our passes at home. So lame. Luckily the CM charged me for the first 2 and then pixie dusted the rest. I was so appreciative!!

On the flip side, we walked in Sunday night 10 minutes before the fireworks, grabbed a gold spot and got to enjoy the show. And then because a lot of people walked out and the rest were doing the second F! Show, we walked on 4 rides AND got to catch the end of F! from the Harbor Landing. New experience! Probably the most magical two hours I've spent at DL.

The bad news. Ramada plaza put us in a room where the couch couldn't fold out without hitting a bed. Had to move in the middle of the night. That wasn't fun. Another lesson learned. Test the couch bed first thing.

Pro tip: link your APs to the app, that way at least you can get into the park without your physical APs.

Definitely at least works for getting in so that's a positive point. Still leaves not being able to get any of the additional perks besides entry, though.

No parking (if on your pass), no discounts, and no FP (unless you have MP, of course, and can book and scan FPs from your phone). But none of those may matter to some if one only cares about entry.

I am glad they do have a reprint option, though. A lot of the passes I've held over the years required I buy the pass entirely again. Even my mom's lifetime senior national parks pass cannot be replaced if she ever loses it. $20 seems like a drop in the bucket compared to the full cost of an AP.

I definitely check several times to make sure I have my pass before getting on the road. I'm always worried this will happen to me one of these days.

I used my phone to get parking the one time I forgot my physical pass. Wasn't even an issue at all. I have also heard of people being able to get discounts, though it may depend on the CM.

Probably same situation as those who are getting pixie dusted not having to pay the reprint then. I've always been told I cannot get my perks without my physical card (and photo ID in regards to discount).

It was actually one concern I had over the conversation to digital FP and having to have the actual ticket. Although now we know photocopies work with that.

I've paid that fee too after losing all of ours. Of course we found them after we paid for new ones!

I've used the app for discounts at various places. We've been APs for many years so if a ride needs a FP we are ok just skipping that. We just find rides attractions that are 20 min or less standby.

Pro tip #2: turn your brightness ALL THE WAY UP. Some CMs don't want to hassle with trying to scan and rescan and rescan a dim phone, so may not want to. Phone all the way bright = scans right away.
