Annual Pass Renewals & Using Gift Cards

I understand that I'm able to renew our AP's up to 60 days before the expiration to get the discount. I know from reading the sticky that if I were to wait and renew when I arrive at Disney that I could use an unlimited amount of Disney Gift Cards to renew my passes at the ticket booth but does the same not hold true if I decide to renew over the phone before I arrive? I just got off the phone with a CM who told me that I would only be able to use 1 disney gift card if I renewed online and 2 disney gift cards if I renewed over the phone. I started to question her because I know for a fact that if I were paying off a pkg. that included tickets by phone, I can use as many gift cards as I want. She put me on hold, came back and said that nope, I could only use 2 by phone for AP renewals. Does anyone know if this is true or did I just get a clueless phone CM? This just doesn't make sense.

Thanks for the number Robo...I just called and while the agent said I could use an unlimited amount of gift cards to renew over the phone, she clearly was trying to discourage me from doing so because as she put it "she would have to enter in all the gift cards one at a time" and I would risk their system "timing out" and then having to re-enter each card all over again I'll try to make it less "painful" by just making 3 separate calls to renew each of us separately .
