Annual Pass Renewal

Can someone explain how it works when you renew an annual pass on the internet?

I'd love to save the $80 for the four of us in my family; but I've always renewed after they expired and have never renewed before they expire.

Our passes don't expire until Feb 25. Is something emailed to you that you bring to a ticket booth on your next trip, or are the passes mailed to you with the photo that was taken last year? And if I renew before the 25th, what is the effective date of the renewal; the 26th or the day I actually do this on the internet? Any info is appreciated; thanks!

You will get something in the mail regarding your renewal a couple of months before it expires. You will get a new pass with the same picture on it from the year before.
The effective date stays the same as the previous one with a different year. So, then yours would be effective as of February 25th until the next year.

Remember to renew before the 25th or you won't receive the $20 discount per pass. The passes will be mailed to you with last year's picture. When you renew ahead of time, you usually receive a discount coupon to use at the resort.
