We bought annual passes in 2019, called today and they could not give me an amount of refund if we cancel and they would not know until processed. We live out of state and unsure if we will be able to travel under the certain circumstances. with the extension our passes expire 12/18/20. So our refund would be August 12 to 12/18. My concern is I don’t want to cancel then find out we only get a few hundred back. Does anyone know if they will take the amount you paid divide it by 12 , then give you that x number of months. Or are we better off keeping and trying to travel later this year. I know every one situation is different, I just wish they would give you a better understanding of your refund.

This is how they figured my refund: Platinum AP expiring May 24. They gave me 69 days for the closure period. I took the price I paid, with tax, divided it by 365, and multiplied that number by 69. If you have a Platinum AP you should be able to figure it out the same way. They didn't add in the extension for me. I think that applies if you are keeping your pass.

I would guess that they are telling the CMs not to promise any amounts because there are many types of APs that cost different amounts. It would be logistically impossible for them to figure out each person's refund while they wait on the phone. Hence : "we can't give you an amount".

wouldnt you decline the extension and get back whatever it was up until the time your AP expired? What was your original expiration date?

Did you call and tell them that you declined the extension? The extension is supposed to make up for the fact that the parks were closed. So, if you get a refund, it would have been from the date the parks closed in mid-March to July 11 (or July 15). Although, if they let you cancel the AP, it would be from mid-March to August 23rd. So, 5 months worth, 5/12 of the AP cost.

Are they actually still allowing pass refunds/cancellations now that the parks are reopened?

assuming this is WDW not DL
