Annual Pass Rates Question...

I've just recently purchased our first annual passes, and I have a question regarding the discount procedures involved with getting an AP rate at the resorts.

Can I make a reservation online through the WDW site, then call to change that rate to the AP rate, or do I have to call Disney directly to get the AP rate?

If this isn't the best way to go about this, can someone offer me tips, or direct me to the info?

You cannot use the website and then call and change it to and AP rate. You should call and ask for a room-only reservation. Then tell the reservation agent that you have an Annual Pass and give them the Discount Code. Understand that rooms may or may not be available at a givern resort for your dates.

At one point, they assigned AP rates a "code" that could be entered onto the website. I never booked online, but don't know if that is still available. I booked what I could afford for my last trip, using AAA rates. Then, when AP rates came out, I called back and they switched my existing reservation and deposit to my reservation.

I would definately call. My sister booked online and had tons of problems with her reservation. There is a toll free # 1-800-828-0228....this # can also be used for dining ps's as well.

Yes, you need to call! I tried to use the web site, but had trouble putting in all the info, so I finally called, and guess what? The web site was not accurate for availability!
