Annual Pass RANT!!!

If you purchased them as a renewal of your old passes, then yes, the date goes back to the date your last AP expired. This is a semi-new policy (I think two years ago?).
If you bought new APs for the full price, it would start the day you exchanged the vouchers.
I think this is going to be the key. We renew our AP's every year in March because that is our "anniversary". Renewals always start ticking on the anniversary date, regardless of when you actually use them.

Thanks for all the replies. We all were correct and Disney has admitted their mistake. No one is sure what actually happened but the actual expiration date is July 07. The problem is they cannot do anything over the phone, it has to be in person. So what they did is create a CSR (customer service file) and attached it to my name so that when we get there the next time, we can have them pull that up and it will explain everything and it can be corrected. However, I don't feel like waiting until July to find out, we will be spending Christmas with the mouse. :thumbsup2

For annual pass renewals, you only have 30 days to get the renewal price after that you have to pay full price and they will give you a new set of valid dates.

Glad to hear it all worked out like it did for our family. Let us know if they do anything extra for you for all of your worry. (Remember, they gave my daughter and SIL 3 extra months to their APs since this exact thing happened to them last year. They didn't expect it it, but it did make it All Better, when we were so upset that we were not going to be able to straighten it out.) The nice part about the APs is that there is a record of everything in the computer, so easy to sort out.

I purchased my annual pass voucher in Oct. 06 at the Disney Store and exchanged it at Guest Services @ Downtown Disney on 11/2/06. It says that the pass is valid until 11/2/07.

Please make sure that you check the back of the pass before u leave guest services or the ticket window.

I also purchased my AP pass at downtown Disney guest services and they expire one year from date PURCHASED, its stamped right on the back.

isn't that because you bought the actual AP and not the voucher????
