Annual Pass Questions

If our family were to purchase my husband an Annual Pass and purchase the rest of us 7-day Magic Your Way Tickets with the Premium Option, would we get the Annual Pass discount on our Resort rooms for the length of our stay (13 nights)? What other discounts would we qualify for? Would my husband only qualify for food and entertainment discounts for himself (hence, we'd always have to pay separately), or would his Annual Pass get a discount for everyone in our party? Thank you!

In the past, the annual passholder could reserve up to 3 rooms at the passholders rate.

I found the AP meal discounts to be very limited. With the number of people in your party, I would recommend gettting the disney dining experience card for $50 which gives 20% discount off of most sit-down meals for up to 10 people. It is a great bargain.

Your DH would be able to reserve up to 3 rooms with an AP discount but I think that the maximum number of days that he could reserve at the AP rate is 10. However, you could break it into 2 5-day ressies and get the AP rate for both ressie.

As far as food and entertainment is concerned, there are both. They are better explained by Deb Wills on her AllEarsNet.com - AP Benefits Webpage . Standard AP dining discounts can be applied for the AP holder's meal and up to 3 guests. The discount is 10% and is limited as to times, locations and dates. The Disney Dining Experience (DDE) is an additional $50 and can be applied for up to 10 guests. The DDE is also limited as to dates and locations but not time of day. Plus the discount is 20%. AP holders also get discounts on miniature golf, Pleasure Island & waterpark admission and purchases at the World of Disney.

It might be a good idea to try to book the room before purchasing the AP. You only have to have the AP when you check in not when you make the reservation.

You do get free parking which costs 8.oo per day so if you factor that in then you might want the AP. However, we have gotten Ap's for the past 10 to 12 years and this year we are getting the Magic your Way for 10 days. We will use it twice BUT it has the a no expiration option. Look on Mouse Savers and you will see what I mean. I am saving 170 and that is with getting one Ap for my husband to cover parking. When all is factored in the one Ap is only 5.oo more than the MyWay b/c of the parking. I figure we will get at least 5oo in discounts. We stay off site so the discount room rates are not useful to us.
