annual pass questions

I have a couple questions...
-What are some specific discounts you get with the annual pass?
-What rate did you get for the month of Dec. at Disney hotels?
-Can you buy discounted hopper tickets for family members with AP?

With a premium AP you get 10% off all food and merchandise (min. $10 purchase).

There are specials where you can purchase discounted tickets but this is not the norm.

We were only able to get a 10% discount off standard room rates last December. It was the week between Christmas and New Years though. You can sometimes do much better than that with an AP rate. Just depends on when you are traveling and what promotions they are running.

You also get 10% discount on some of the restaurants. Remember, always present your annual pass. Better to ask than not. When we were in DL last month, I was surprised sometimes where I got a discount.

PAPs don't get you 10% off at all food locations. The Village Haus, River Belle Terrace, and Club Buzz (formerly Tommorowland Terrace) don't offer it. You do get 15% off at in-park sit down places. Also you get 10% off in hotel restaurants (even Whitewater Snacks at the GCH. Also you get 10% off $10 or more purchases in the shops or pin carts (PAP only). There are also various discounts in DTD.

Merchandise is Premium only. Premium also offers the most food discounts--including all in-park and hotel sit-down restaurants. Deluxe passes don't have the merch. discounts and offer fewer food discounts. S. CA offers even fewer food discounts.

So Cal. and So Cal Select passes get 10% at the Plaza Inn and Red Rockets in DL and Pacific wharf cafe, Pizza Oom Mow Mow, Cocina Cucamonga and Taste Pilots in DCA. Deluxe adds Rancho Del Zocolo and the French Market in DL. Premiums add the Blue Bayou and Carnation Cafe in DL and Ariel's Grotto, The Vinyard Room and the Trattoria in DCA Along with the hotel restaurants.
