Annual Pass question

Hi! I purchased 3 annual passes in June 2005, but did not get them activated until Aug. 24, 2005. I just now looked at the back of my passes to see what date we did in fact ativate them so we could try to plan another trip before they expire. On the back it says, Valid through 6/07/06 but then underneath that it says 8/24/05, which is the day we actually activated it. My question is why does it say valid through 6/7/06? I thought they were good for 365 days from the day you activate them. Oh boy, am I confused. Any help would be so appreciated. Now, I am getting nervous.

When you bought the AP's did you get a voucher or the actual AP? Where did you buy them?

If you received a voucher that is what is good for 365 days from activation. If you bought an actual AP, it is activated the day you bought it regardless of the first use, as I understand it.

When we bought our passes form the disney store they were plastic vouchers that we traded in when we arrived. Did you trade In a voucher?? DO you have your receipt from purchase???

Thanks for the replies. After I posted this, I called Disney and they told me to write to guest communications. I sent them an email and am hoping to get this resolved. Yes, I did originally receive vouchers in June and when we went in August I turned them in for APs at Epcot, not realizing until TODAY that the woman must have made an error and she put the expiration date as a year from the date I purchased them online. The woman I spoke to on the phone today said they should be able to help me at Guest relations. I truly hope so as everywhere I have read says they are good for one year from the date you activate them, which for us was August of 2005. Oh, this was so upsetting as we are trying to plan a short trip for either July or August at this point.

It sounds like they didn't check the expiration date listed before they printed the passes.

Something similar happened to me. My valid through date was the EXACT same day I activated the passes.

SnackyStacky: Did you catch the mistake right away? Of course, I did not check mine until 2.5 months later!LOL. Did they resolve it for you easily? I am now waiting to hear from them and hoping they can resolve this as I am trying to plan another summer trip. Thanks!

My wife and I activated them at the International Gateway. We went right to Marrakesh for dinner. While we were eating, I looked at mine. I don't know why. I'm a dork.

But that's when we noticed it, and immediately went back. The same guy was working, so he did easily fix it for us.

I should imagine there's a record in the system of when you actually exchanged your voucher, so I would think it should be easy enough to correct.

If you have it, just take your Disney Store receipt too - to show the date you bought the vouchers, and could not have possibly activated them on that date.

Thanks. We also activated ours at the international gateway, but I never looked at the back. UGH! I bought online, but I do have the record on my credit card of the purchase.
