annual pass question?

this is probably a stupid question
but i know nothing about annual passes but would like to find out
do you have to be a FL resident?
where do you get them?
are they worth the $$$$

we've been to the world before but i am looking at ways to go more often

There are several different types of AP.

Florida resident APs (adult and children)
Non-Florida resident APs (adult and children)

Some APs are for the 4 parks only, while others are for the 4 parks and waterparks and PI.

Florida residents have the option of getting a "seasonal" pass, which excludes summer (possibly other times)

There are also water park APs, and PI APs.

No you don't. Anyone can purchase an AP.

where do you get them?

The short answer is you can get them at any WDW major park ticket booth or Guest Relations window, at Guest Relations at DTD, online at disney.com, or by phone from 407-WDISNEY. A complete list of places can be found here.

If you plan on being in the parks more than 8 days a year, they absolutely are. And don't forget there are other perks & discounts available for AP holders, too. See Deb's AP page for more info.
