We have a trip planned in Feb. Our passes expire end of January.
I am unable to book fast passes because our tickets will be expired.
I thought I would just renew now, but they will charge me the new monthly rate, "later today".
I still have month left on these passes I will be charged for, correct?
Won't I loose a month if I renew now?
Anyway around this without renewing until end of January?
TIA

I don't know how it works for Florida passes but when you renew a regular AP early, your clock starts at your expiration date so you do not lose a month.

You can renew an AP 60 days before or 30 days after expiration, but no matter when you renew, the new AP year starts when the old one ends.

You will have two payments this month, but you don't lose any time on the pass.

So say your passes expire 1/31/19.

You start the renewal process now. You will be charged 1/12 of the renewal rate (current price of the pass you have, minus 15%) immediately. But you will only have 12 payments total, so you will finish paying for this pass in November 2020, but it will be good until 1/31/20. Make sense?

When we renewed our APs, the new year didn't start till we activated the AP at the park. Our previous APs had expired before could do our FPs. I renewed them prior to our 60 day window opening and had no problem with the FPs.
Once at the park, 3 months later, we activated the APs and our year started.
Not sure if florida works the same or not.

If you got the renewal discount, and had a gap between the expiration date of your original pass, and the start of your new year’s pass, then you received some pixie dust, or a glitch in the system in your favor.

When you get the renewal discount, the AP is supposed to continue with the same expiration date, one year later.
