Annual Pass Question

I have two upcoming trips to WDW. The first one is a package where we have free dining. We have 5 day park hoppers with that. My second trip will be room only (no discount) and I have a 8 day ticket, no park hopping.
I'm wondering if I can combine the two tickets on my first trip to make it an annual pass and pay the difference. I'm thinking no because I did get the free dining but does anyone know if it is possible? It would only be my ticket as DH is not coming with me on my room only stay. TIA.

I believe that you can only use one ticket to upgrade, combining is not allowed. So you what you would have to do is upgrade that 5 day ticket you purchased as part of your free dining package by paying the price difference between that ticket and the AP you want to get. Then you could opt out of those 8 day tickets in your other package because you won't need them at all.

Not part of a package, it was the Canadian discount ticket. Doubt I could return it but thanks for your thoughts, it helps me see what options I have.
