We let our annual passes expire in September because we knew we wouldn't be going back until this October. Trying to figure out the best passes for us now with the new optionw....does anyone know the blackout dates for 2018 for the gold pass? I'm thinking if we activate it in October 2017, we will still be using it mainly in 2018. We've always gotten the AP with the DVC discount, but the platinum seems so expensive now, so was wondering thoughts on the gold?

Gold pass blackout dates are the two weeks around Easter and Christmas.

I see that it's listed as those dates for 2017, but is it also the same for 2018?

Also, thoughts on Tables in Wonderland....we've always used it but with this delay in going, again we didn't renew. Now that the price is higher and I see there is a discount now with annual passes on dining? Thoughts?

The dates for Easter will not be the same. Easter is April 1 next year, so figure the week before and week after.

Edit: I read March 24 to April 6, 2018 on another thread.

The spring black-out is the Saturday, eight days before Easter, through the Friday after Easter, and dates change annually according to Easter's date; for 2018 it will be March 24-April 6 as Easter is April 1. Christmas has been a tad bit more tricky pinning down as it has varied its start date between Dec 16 and 18 and end date between Jan 1 and 2. This year it will be Dec 18 to Jan 2.

The clock on your tables card won't start until you purchase it. The expiration date is completely independent of your AP expiration date.

The only way to know if tables is a good deal is to do the math. Look at which restaurants are covered, if you drink booze, etc...
