Annual pass question

If I buy my annual pass online and choose 'will call' to pickup at the park, will I get a number immediately that I can use to book FP+?

Also: if express delivery is by FedEx 'after August 16th', will I probably get them right around the 16th?

If I have them delivered to the house, are they ready to be used or do I need to get a picture taken at guest services?

I've never had them delivered but I'm pretty sure you will still have to activate them at Guest Relations as that starts the clock on them.

You use the confirmation number for MDE to do fast passes. Then you can activate at the park.

Seems an advantage to do them when you are on property then, so your calendar starts right then and not shipped?

If you purchase them in MDE, they'll link automatically. You will have to assign them to individuals in your account, but you can immediately start making FP+s with them.

There is no need to pay to have a physical AP shipped to you. Just select Will Call and go to a ticket booth and/or guest relations to have them activated once you arrive in Orlando

In any case, you will not get an actual annual pass sent to you. You will get a voucher sent to you.

Ok thanks for the answers. I was debating the 'will call' because I want to use a cc (that is mine) to purchase and the person who will pick up the tickets is not me and they need to show the original cc. So cc will have to be theirs. If I had them sent, I could use my cc.

I think that since you are only getting a voucher, they will not start the active date until you actually get to the park and use them.

You have to show a cc and photo ID for the person who will be picking up the tickets. The APs are not for me.

Ok had a chat with CM and he said that if you choose 'will call' for purchase and pick up at park, you only need to show a photo ID as long as you have assigned the tickets to each person. So I can use any cc. hth someone.

I've done annual passes both ways--will call and having it sent. The physically sent option essentially looked like a credit card. It automatically linked to MDE and it wasn't activated until I went to Guest Relations and showed them my photo ID. So even if you choose to have it sent, the pass start date doesn't begin until activated at one of the parks. I think it can be activated at DTD as well.

Actually, that isn't the case. When you purchase on line, you get a voucher. The vouchers get exchanged for the actual passes when you are ready to enter a park on site. The day the exchange is made and you enter a park starts the clock on the year for the pass.
Also, the voucher number can be linked in MDE for making FP+.

Actually, you do not have to enter a park to get the clock running. When you exchange the voucher for the AP, that is when the clock starts. Example would be doing the excnage at Disney Springs a day or so before going to a park. The clock starts at Disney Springs.

Of course- I should have worded it that way. I expect most folks do both on the same day though (exchange the vouchers and enter a park).
